Police not ruling out more suspects in Norway attacks

Oslo, Norway (CNN) -- Police in Norway have not ruled out the possibility that more than one person was involved in Friday's twin terror attacks that left at least 92 dead, officials said Saturday.

"We're not sure it's just one person... based on statements from witnesses, we think there may be more," Acting National Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim said.

A 32-year-old Norwegian was arrested and charged with terrorism, but police have not officially released his name. Local media have identified the man as Anders Behring Breivik, who has been described as a right-wing Christian fundamentalist.

"It's very difficult at this point to say whether he was acting alone or whether he was acting as part of a larger network," Sponheim said.

The suspect has been talking to authorities, but Sponheim described the day-long interrogations as "difficult."

At least four people are still missing, he said, as investigators continued to search for bodies of victims of the bomb attack in downtown Oslo.

the Tea party started to get labeled as a terrorist organization by the NY times just after that.

"Christian fundamentalist don’t kill 92 people"

Define "Christian". Seems like all denominations are vying to become the whore of babylon, to be the one who sits upon the beast.

Most of them are now splitting, allowing fags to be Pastors and servicing it's flock, reading the koran in His House, etc.

Don’t put much stock in early theories or “eyewitness” accounts. Remember all the false leads on 9-11? How about the Beltway Sniper “white man in a white van” reports that led the police in wrong directions?

Here is how it often works. A group of terrified witnesses are chattering to each other post-danger, often many are chattering nearly hysterically at the same time. Many people will hear rifle shot echoes from different directions, leading them to believe in multiple shooters. Echoes are a fact of life with rifles, but how many civilian kids on that island had ever heard a real rifle fired around them or past them? None, I’ll bet. So every shot, sonic crack and echo is “another shooter.”

Then a witness in the group reports, “I saw another dark-haired guy over there with what looked like a gun.” (Could have been another island guest with a stick etc for self-defense in the general bedlam.)

Other witnesses hear him say that. When asked minutes or hours later about what they saw and heard, they report, “Well, some people saw another guy over there with a gun.”

It gets re-reported as, “Multiple witnesses saw another man with a gun.”

This is how the completely false, “white man in a white van” rumor got started. One fragmentary and incorrect report morphs into “multiple witnesses saw” nonsense.

You can just COUNT on it in cases like this.

Police not ruling out more suspects in Norway attacks.

A team of mass murdering Christian fundamentalists?

The media is going to twist themselves into knots trying to tie this to conservatism.

It would take a long time to mix and prepare that
many prills by your self, he had to have help.
Where did he get the detonators and what did
he use to initiate it. Lots of questions to be
answered.

They also tried it (successfully too) with the JFK assassination. Although it was completely known not long after Harvey was arrested, that he was a Communist supporter of Castro etc. the media continued to blame White Southern Gun Owners.

That is how they got the truly obnoxious GCA of 1968 passed.

HA...the mainline group is the universal church spoken of in the scriptures and the false prophet in Revelations. Still they aren't mass murderers...no matter how much the left wished they were...the mass murderers are their favorite religion...islam...

Anyone able to corroborate reports about a large pro-palestinian rally being held in the Utoya camp just a day before the massacre?

All I can find is Al-Jazeera and some questionable conspiracy websites.

He had lots of time to mix ANFO. He spent years on his manifesto.

From ABB’s manifesto. Seems that picric acid was his detonator/booster.

Saturday June 18 - Day 48: I woke up at 11.00 and checked my phone. There was an SMS sent 09.30 from Tonje, the owners girlfriend. She said she was ON HER WAY UP to pick up some equipment from the barn!!! Omfg; considering the fact that it’s a 2-2,5 hour’s drive from the capital she would be here in about half an hour!!! I’m so fucked! She has a large storage room in the back of the barn and she would need to pass all my ANFO bags to get there. I would need 12 hours minimum to relocate the 1,2 tons of ANFO, not to mention de-construct my chemistry rig, fume hood, fan and clean up all the beakers etc spread all around. And the living room is full of yellow stains. It seems I will be left no choice than to use my glock and initiate the evacuation plan!

I called her up. Luckily she hadn’t left yet. Thank God! I fed her a story which resulted in us agreeing that she would come on Monday around 20.00. That was a real close one... I spent the rest of the day on purifying another batch of picric acid and relocating 1,2 tons of ANFO bags, storing them in the storage area between the corn silo and another room. I refer to this area as the spider cave or the spider room as there is no lighting there and it is spider webs all over the place. It is a lot of old junk in this room covered with spider webs.

I don’t know if I’m ready to accept this “manifesto”
as the truth yet, it reads too much like a novel.

Somebody with the imagination to pull all of this off will have an imagination like a novelist. No surprise there. I’d expect nothing less.
