Jeb Bush doesn't 'anticipate' a run (read on..JUST NO!)

Jeb Bush, who has made clear he isn't running for president this cycle, raised some eyebrows on Sean Hannity's Fox News show Friday night with this comment about a potential campaign:

"I don’t anticipate that. You never say never. This is a standard answer that I’ve kind of learned how to give which is — you never say never, but I never rule out being on Dancing with the Stars either … there are a lot of ways you can make a difference."

He went on, with respect to whether any of the current field can win, "If you recall, my dad in 1992 had an approval rating that was double what President Obama has right now and he was running against the seven dwarfs I think. … And one of those dwarfs became president … dwarf, you know President Clinton, so the notion that somehow these aren’t folks that are capable of winning I just think is ridiculous. These are good people."

They're also, per Bush, "capable. They’ve made the all-in commitment and this yearning for something else is very flattering for someone if you’re that someone else. But in reality I think this race, we have qualified candidates and as it gets closer to the primaries to the caucuses and primaries, I think people will begin to see the mettle of the men and women that are running."

I never thought I’d say this, but honestly, I’ve had enough Bush for now.

Baraq now looks so totally beatable for 2012 that the scramble is on. I can’t see Obama winning a 2-way race against any Republican. He only got 53% in 2008 against McLame and a dispirited R party with EVERYTHING going his way.

NOW:

$4 gas
surging food prices
plunging home prices
10% unemployment
recurring $1.5 trillion deficits

Jeb Bush was a very good Governor.

But I think we need more of a break between Bushes.

Jeb finished his term as Florida Governor with the highest approval rating of any Governor. I really like Jeb. When he talks, you know that he is genuine. And, NO, I do not want any more Bush’s for President or Vice President. Besides that, the real advantage he would bring as, say, a Vice Presidential candidate is to assure a majority Republican vote in Florida, a large swing state.

I would take Bush over Romney. Bachmann can’t be elected despite the polls.

We still don’t know if Palin is running.

I would love Demint but he needs to stay in the Senate

That would put him one heartbeat away from the presidency. No thanks. GHWB and GWB were plenty for the next 100 years.

GHWB's read my lips and GWB's big left turn in his 2nd term permanently soured many on the Bush name.

Br careful of overconfidence.

The same media which insured an Obama victory in 2008 has still yet to go into campaign mode.

I suspect the economy will continue to worsen. But, the media portrayal of the economy is likely to be glowing, complete with twisted statistics, fabricated poll results, the levels of the stock market and the mantra of “it's turned around”.

What we need is a nominee who will refuse to capitulate to media interpretations.

If he was a good governor, it's a shame he can't run because of family name. He should be judged on his own merits.

However, he's quite right, there are other ways for him to make a difference. Palin's made that case herself.

Is he needed to run against Bill Nelson? Could he win again in FL or is he unwelcome? What skills could he bring to a Republican administration at the cabinet level?

what’s the deal with him calling Clinton one of the seven dwarfs?

When George H.W. Bush was gearing up for re-election, the democratic primary had a handful of candidates but none were considered stars or favorites of the base, one of the magazines nicknamed the democratic field "the 7 dwarfs" in that it seemed none of them had a chance to win, none of them were particularly appealing, and Bush Sr. looked absolutely unbeatable......

As crazy as this sounds, he isn't taking a shot at Clinton. Bill Clinton has made references in the past about being one of the "7 dwarfs" as part of his "life narrative" in telling the story about how he became president and the odds he overcame.....This actually sounds to me like Jeb has been hanging around the Clintons for him to make that reference.
