Obama orders Boehner, McConnell, to report to him Saturday morning
Fox News Live | 7/22/11

In an eye-poppingly nasty and derranged press conference, Obama ordered Boehner and McConnell to appear before His Majesty tomorrow morning (7/23) at 1100 (that's 11:00, military time). The conference was called by The One to express his displeasure with the Repubs because they refuse to accept almost $2 trillion in new spending in order for the debt ceiling to be raised "until 2013" so Obama doesn't have to deal with that issue as he runs for reelection.

Stay tuned.

-——I’d like to see Boehner start calling as many press conferences -——

To show that he is agreeable to further talks, the Speaker should summon the president to a meeting in the Capitol to hash out the final details

Don’t go. Tell Obozo they were in church at the time.

>US troops will fire upon unarmed US civilians right after Hell freezes over. Another Obozo overreach.<

I don’t know about you but this speaks volumes to me.
And I wouldn’t just blow it off either.
Those troops will fire on people if they feel threatened.
BET ON IT!

He is expecting a problem, perhaps he is planning on crating one. Whatever. But 20,000 troops on US soil for the specific purpose of Civil Unrest isn’t just a whim.

I would hope that Military commanders would have the guts to say enough is enough if he pulls anything, but I am not so sure.

I love my country, but fear my government now.

I would return the favor and order him to Congress. Congress has the power of the subpoena, the President does not.

Charles Krauthammer put it nicely last night on Fox:

“This is Obama at his most sanctimonious, demagogic, self-righteous and arrogant. And given the baseline, it wasn’t a pretty sight.

Look, he started out by summoning the leaders of Congress – summoning them at 11:00. Who does he think he is? In the American system the Executive and Congress are co-equal. The way he demanded their appearance in the Oval Office I thought was disgraceful. . . .

The President offered nothing except if you go in the back room my staff will give you tick-tock – a detail of everything I was supposed to have given. He has never once spoken about real cuts. And lastly, what was interesting is even at the late date where he says that the fate of the republic hangs on the debt ceiling extension, he said if given a short extension of say half a year, I won’t accept it. Why? Because he says I want this to go past Election Day. That is self-serving and political and he pretends he is the one who is not interested in politics.”

I agree. We do not have emperors and imperial edicts.

Boehner should summon the president to the Capitol.
