It already did pass the House. Just an hour ago.

It will go through the Senate easily, since we have the minority, Snowe, Collins, Brown, etc,.

If Obama signs it, it's permanent. (Like Obamacare)

This idea it won’t pass the Senate is bogus. It adds a huge tax increase on Capital Gains (110%) and eliminates many regular deductions. Obama likes it.

And I think 0Fraudo is doing it on purpose.

Hampering the recovery? Heinlein's Razor notwithstanding, it appears that way. But the estimate that the weekly estimate is compared to is the result of Reuters polling a panel of economists for their estimates. The economists are the ones out of touch...what else is new?

Note that during the GWB years, we saw a similar phenomenon..."above expectations" or "below expectations" was never noticed then.

And I note that many people don't utter a peep when the unemployment rate itself "was lower than expected"...

Rush is saying that it is racist saboteurs in the labor market who are making these claims with Obama trying as hard as he can...just racist!

I expected this. I also expect that the numbers will continue to rise. Cisco has layoffs coming, Borders is shutting down the rest of their stores, Lockheed is cutting back, How’s that hope and change working out for you?

And the thousands of workers Boeing hired at their new (shuttered) $1 billion factory

At this point it would be unexpected to expect it to be expected.

Shouldn’t the “professional” economists who make these predictions be fired for incompetence because the outcomes are always “unexpected”.

No, it’s per week. The numbers come out every Thursday, at about 8:30am East Coast time, an hour before the markets open. Except Thanksgiving week, of course.

Odd how the press isn't making a big deal of this...

Who wants to bet when a Republican's in office the MSM will quit with the excuses and 'unexpected' and use a sledge hammer instead?

The DJIA has all the characteristics of a slot machine. And it is almost as good as a slot machine at reflecting the state of the economy.

How true. You have said it all.

The Democrats will fight vigorously with lies and deception. Lies that can easily countered with the facts. If people are willing to listen.

Their very existence depends on their ability to take from some and give to others. Once this is diminished, they themselves are diminished.
