STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Professors in Connecticut and New York have created an index to measure countries' performance in ensuring developing economic and social rights.

Officials at the University of Connecticut say the index takes into account a country's resources to give a reliable indication of social and economic progress.

...

They have also received a National Science Foundation grant to study economic and social rights further.

Social rights? This sounds like nanny government.

If you are at liberty, can speak your heart and mind, and are armed to the teeth,...a scared government is a good government.

What the Hell else to these eggheads need to know?

I think we should tax the professors at 100% and give their wages to the needy.

And we should require said professors to house at least 2 families of illegal aliens — feed, clothe and shelter them.

That strikes me as a great plan to ensure equity across classes.

Yep—the kind of “elite intellectuals” that Dalrymple says is responsible for destroying the White underclass in England with their dysfunctional theories which destroy human beings and destroy their ability to flourish and be independent and responsible human beings. They are evil. They have literally destroyed millions of human beings mostly young children with their stupid (non) “thinking”.

An ‘Elitist Barf Alert’ has been issued for the content of this news posting. Those susceptible to hurling during such matters should turn away now.

Measuring how communistic and socialistic a country has become.

The US has made big strides in the last 30 months.

How about an index for personal freedoms? Except I can’t think of any country that would have anything but a minuscule score.

Because liberals want to control us all, in every way, to make the world safe and warm, but not too warm.

How about an index for personal freedoms?

Heh, I was going to say all they have to do is index personal liberty, and then take the inverse.

>> an index to measure countries’ performance in ensuring developing economic and social rights.

A perversion of what it means to be liberated.

These professing jackwagons are trending well on the Marxism Index.

If one were to succinctly state one’s impression of academia nowadays I would put it this way:

“Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 1:19-25)
