News Think Thank: Illinois Public Pay Scales Out Of Sync With Private Sector July 20, 2011 8:41 AM CHICAGO (CBS) A conservative think tank is warning that public sector pay scales are out of balance with those in the private sector. As WBBM Newsradio 780s John Cody reports, Ted Dabrowski, vice president of the free market think tank the Illinois Policy Institute, found Illinois state worker pay has jumped 18 percent from 1992 to 2008. LISTEN: Newsradio 780′s John Cody reports But private sector pay scales dropped 2 percent in that time, he said. Public sector pay and benefits are high, and its the private sector that has the tax increases that have to pay for them, he said. So we need to get things back in line, because today, theyre out of sync. Dabrowski says the average State of Illinois state employee is paid $69,500, versus $56,500 for the equivalent job in the private sector. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/07/20/think-thank-illinois-public-pay-scales-out-of-sync-with-private-sector/

I am consistently amazed at the number of people who think that capitalism is OK, but morality isn’t. You can’t have one without the other. If there’s no morality, then stealing is OK, and the rich have the money to steal.

One of the reasons many single women lament the prevalence of boy-men men who have not grown up is that the liberal state has told men they dont have to support anybody. The "liberal state has told men they don't have to support anybody"? Is he for real.
No, the liberal state has told men who go to work and attain any assets that they have to support everybody .
And if they get married and she decides to leave (75% of divorces initiated by women), they have to support her and the children too, and maybe her new boyfriend of the month.
All the while he's checking craigslist for one bedroom apartments.
Also, she has full control over whether the child their relationship creates even makes it to birth. This while he has no say either way, but must pony up support if her sole decision is to keep it.
No, they aren't all "boy-men". Many are those who took a long look at the landscape purposely stacked against them and made a rational decision to continue on with the easy single life. The one where the state isn't out to rob them around every corner.
