GOP presidential hopeful and Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann today released the following statement to respond to reports that she experiences incapacitating migraines:
Like nearly 30 million other Americans, I experience migraines that are easily controlled with medication. I am a wife, a mother, a lawyer who worked her way through law school, a former state senator who achieved the repeal of a harmful piece of education policy in Minnesota, and a congresswoman who has worked tirelessly fighting against the expansion of government and wasteful spending.
Since entering the campaign, I have maintained a full schedule between my duties as a congresswoman and as a presidential candidate traveling across the nation to meet with voters in the key, early primary and caucus states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. I have prescription medication that I take whenever symptoms arise and they keep the migraines under control. Let me be abundantly clear my ability to function effectively has never been impeded by migraines and will not affect my ability to serve as Commander in Chief.

Next they will ask her if she still has her period and how regular are her bowel movements. Does she brush her teeth three times a day? Inquiring half wit minds want to know.
Don’t forget “does she floss”
Bachmann has some ?s on the resume.
Migranes isn’t a problem.
Wow a whole new voting bloc.
After 23 foster children, who wouldn’t?
"I'd get back with you when you dig up the missing Obama records. He is after all ALREADY the POTUS, I'm just running for the office"
Mrs Bachmann just kicked the MSM in the stones!!
Way to go.....
Heck, at least she has a brain to hurt. Not so with “the won”.
If we are fortunate to elect a conservative president in 2012, he/she will have an extremely stressful, exhausting 8 years ahead of them to undo Obamunism. They must be completely fit to do the job.
"The most common triggers quoted are stress, hunger, and fatigue" - "lasting from 4 to 72 hours" - Wiki, & webmd confirms this.
Nothing against Bachmann, I like most of what she says. But if this is true, it disqualifies her, imo.
Sources say Bachmann experiences these headaches about once a week, and that they've landed her in the hospital at least three different times. One person who worked as a close adviser during Bachmann's 2010 campaign said the headaches leave her unable to function. These absolutely sound severe enough to be a show-stopper. 30 million Americans may suffer from them, but they aren't running for President."The migraines are so bad and so intense, she carries and takes all sorts of pills," the adviser said. "Prevention pills. Pills during the migraine. Pills after the migraine, to keep them under control. She has to take these pills wherever she goes." The Daily Caller's story has the Bachmann campaign on its heels, and at the worst possible time, with Bachmann taking the lead in a national poll released today.
The story recites a series of specific incidents in which those close to Bachmann watched her come apart at the seams due to migraines. After her communications director Dave Dziok left to start his own firm in July 2010, Bachmann experienced a headache that put her in a D.C.-area hospital and forced her to fly home and rest over the weekend.

Palin '12!!!
Methinks that if she does it, hers will then be out in the open and HIS will still never see the light of day......and the Kool Aid drinking democRATS and lapdog media will continue to run interference for Obluffer.
The original article says she had an appendicitis like it was a cold and then all of a sudden got migraines. Allergy sufferers get these headaches and don’t realize a mucinex D and excedrin migraine cures.
I rest my case see post 30.
And as a Prostestant she has differences with Catholics...
she must be squeaky clean to be getting this treatment.
DITTO. and didn’t patent their name and make a failed movie and disappoint like a Kardashian diva?
I experience migraines. Doesn’t stop me from Farmin’ Fartin’ or Freepin!
I get about two migraines a week.
It is a disruption to my life for sure, but I still
practice law and take care of my wife and kids.
Meds help if used properly.
Insurance companies hate the condition.
