GOP presidential hopeful and Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann today released the following statement to respond to reports that she experiences “incapacitating” migraines:
Like nearly 30 million other Americans, I experience migraines that are easily controlled with medication. I am a wife, a mother, a lawyer who worked her way through law school, a former state senator who achieved the repeal of a harmful piece of education policy in Minnesota, and a congresswoman who has worked tirelessly fighting against the expansion of government and wasteful spending.
“Since entering the campaign, I have maintained a full schedule between my duties as a congresswoman and as a presidential candidate traveling across the nation to meet with voters in the key, early primary and caucus states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. I have prescription medication that I take whenever symptoms arise and they keep the migraines under control. Let me be abundantly clear – my ability to function effectively has never been impeded by migraines and will not affect my ability to serve as Commander in Chief.

He's a dimocrat however so we won't bring that up about HIM.

I think I started getting migraines on 5 nov 08...hopefully they will clear up in 2013 some time in January, I think... LOL
I get migraines on rare occasions. Once you’ve had one or two, you quickly recognize the symptoms of an onset, usually allowing plenty of time to take preventative measures to either stop or weaken the migraine. This is a non-starter by an increasingly desperate Lamestream Media. Next they are going to be announcing the stunning news that water might be wet.
I get migraines and they can be debilitating. However most migraine sufferers know how to manage them so that they do not reach that level of severity. I probably get two a year whereI just didn’t stop it in time, or misread it.
There are tests for these things.
I am a fellow sufferer. There is a lot she can do to fight these plagues — diet is huge. Taking in enough magnesium is huge. And carrying triptan meds 24/7 can catch one and kill it before it starts ( and triptans do not make you drowsy or affect your judgment.).
Anyone ever catch Bachman with a crack pipe for two days straight, like Larry Sinclair did Barack?
In other news Joe Biden has had 3 ANUERISMS!!! As I said in another post, if something had happened to Obama, and Biden’s head had exploded again, we would have had President PELOSI! Much more disturbing than a migraine! Oh, and they mentioned she'd visited the ER with the headaches a couple of times. For me, that is usually to get an injectable form of the med I take so it will work faster. It doesn't mean you're on the verge of death! As POTUS, she would have a doctor with her med available immediately, I'm sure.
Well, she's got the Migraine-American vote all sewn up, lol.
Seriously, though, are they debilitating? See auras? Photosensitivity? Out of commission for any length of time?
That could be problematic for the leader of the free world, a world that doesn't stop while you're laid out in a dark room with a cold, damp cloth over your eyes.
