I suppose this is just, well, the sad rantings of a senior citizen. But O schadenfreude, you capricious sprite!:
Actress Jane Fonda said in a statement posted on her website today that the QVC television channel cancelled an appearance they had scheduled with her today to promote her new book "Prime Time," blaming the cancellation on what she called "well funded and organized political extremist groups."
In the same statement Fonda said, "I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us."
In 1972, during the Vietnam War, Fonda took a two-week trip to North Vietnam, where she was photographed sitting on an antiaircraft gun that North Vietnamese forces otherwise used for shooting at American planes.
Yeah. QVC didn't want her. Let that sink in for a moment. As for Fonda's contention,"never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us," I called my father, a former Marine and Vietnam veteran, for comment. Alas, standards of decency render it largely unprintable.

For someone who claims to now be a Christian she certainly does like to blame others a lot. She also came out against those same “right wing extremists” when Laughton (sp.?) shot Congresswoman Giffords. She jumped on that band-wagon fast enough when media dim-wits started piling on and trying to gain traction blaming the right and conservative voices. Her actions just don’t pass the smell test.
Where was her outrage when Dr. Laura was being run off the air for her political/social views? Hmmmmmmmm ???

During her visit to North Vietnam, our POW’s passed her a note to smuggle out of the country. She gave the note to the North Vietnamese jailors. There were likely reprisals against the POW’s after she left. She, and Ramsey Clark after his visit, should have been denied re-entry back into the U.S.
HSN wasn’t involved (and likely won’t pick her up) — QVC disinvited her...according to her.
