I’m sure Rush mentioned it on Thursday, Guess I’m wanting some real beef, as in “Fast and Furious” which is real stuff that no one wants to mention. That is serious stuff, who gives a crap about a lemonade stand?

I am finding very few sources speaking about very serious stories any more. Even the D.C. pundits don't want to actually say whether the Republicans' arguments are good or not. They just say, "Well, the Republicans scream about these programs when out of power and the Democrats scream about these same programs when out of power." Okay, great, but what about the fundamental accuracy of their arguments this time around? If just the debt ceiling is raised with no other adjustments, we will have this same stupid debate just a few more months down the road. No More Status Quo Congress!!!

It just seems that the entire Elitist Class wants to numb our brains with useless stories.

I fully understand the ramifications of the lemonade stand issue but really which is more a threat to our freedoms, gunrunner is a Gov’t project designed to undermine the 2nd Amendment. I’d say I’m more concerned about the F&F project that is run with the blessing of the Gov’t than a local Sheriff in Ga.

The F&F affects us all, the lemonade stand is local and I suspect they will suffer their stupidity with the locals.

No, my point is that it is NOT just local but goes to our basic freedoms as a citizenry. It is basic and thus very important. The founders of this country understood that perfectly.

It was in violation of the law and the Sheriff was stupid for enforcing it. We have kids in out little town that put up a lemonade stand and they aren’t bothered, it’s a matter of overlooking things or just common sense.

I just turned it off.

Steyn was joking about the Women's World Cup and suggesting that there was no interest. I don't know. Maybe that was true, but I was interested.

And then he switched to the Men's World Cup last year and said he was in a Chicago Sports Bar and no one there was interested enough to change the channel to the USA team's game. (Not even because of a Cubs game, according to Steyn.) This is BS fit for a Democrat. Steyn needs to be deleted from the already very weak guest host rotation.
