Click the link to view the pictures. I do know how to hotlink, but unlike a lot of FReepers, I respect copyright laws and intellectual property. In other words, I don't believe in theft.

I wonder if they really are copyrighted. Facebook claims the copyright? I doubt that Facebook originated these photos.

Jackalopes are actually a European invention.

In the early 60s my brother sent away to learn Taxidermy by mail with the result being many strange looking creatures as in this article. A lot of animals had a decidedly tortured expression after he (and I ) were done with them

There were two hanging in the window of a local sporting goods store when I was a kid in NYC.(early 50s) They fascinated me. One day Mom let me go in and ask what they were. Well, those “old” guys really fed me a line with tales of the vicious, wily jackalopes. Years later as a teenager I ran into one of those “old” guys again at a fly tieing class in the same shop. I told him I would NEVER believe a thing he said ever again. LOL

Facebook claims ownership of all content posted to it. Isn't that nice of them?

If that is the case, then as a legal matter I don’t see how they can get away with it.

...but unlike a lot of FReepers, I respect copyright laws and intellectual property.

With all due respect, what the hell is that suppose to mean? There is a list that Jim Robinson/FR has published on the main page. This lists those organizations that have requested that they not be published on here. And even if a poster doesn't look at that list, most of the time, during the posting process, you will find out if it's a publication that is off limits. I know this because I do post on here.

The way you composed this thread, makes it sound like copyright violations are common and intentional. They are not. Further, if you see an article that violates a copyright law, you have a reponsibility/duty to report it to the poster and the mods.

sheesh
