Without them, wouldn't his job be "House minority leader"?

You’ve been here long enough to know not to confuse a liberal on a rant with facts.

I love how the media quotes some random professor at a school somewhere in the country claiming to know how Boehner feels. This is news, apparently to get speculation.

“John Boehner is an old-style Republican.”

Yep, the old “go-along-to-get-along,” Robert Michel
kind of guy that just wanted Tip O’Neil to like him and was perfectly content to be in the minority. That’s exactly why Boehner should never have been given the post in these crucial times.

For whatever reason, I think Boehner will warm up to the new folks and the new role better than most people think. I could easily just be optimistic or have a 24 hour virus coming on or something, but I'll wait a bit longer before I decide he's a total flop. Especially when it's a professor of PS that's trying to convince me that Boehner’s having a problem. I don't know a single PS major with a lick of sense, much less any of the ‘perfesserss’ that drained the brains of their students and left them totally stupid.

Sometimes I wonder if the enemy is posting fear and dissension here to discourage us. Before we jump all over Boehner let us see what he does first. He did vote not to increase the debt which is a great first start.

This cracks me up. None of the professional politicians or the leftists in the media or academia can make any sense of these freshman GOP. How inflexible they are! Why we usually just pass these debt ceiling increases by voice vote. These dumb rubes won’t make a deal! They won’t be bought! It doesn’t make any sense! Poor John Boehner. A RINO stuck with a caucus full of crazy Tea Party people who actually want to do what they were elected to do: cut government.

Thank God for America’s Tea-Party minded citizens. Without us, Bonehead and The Gobbler would have caved long ago. They may still cave, but THEY will PAY a heavy price in 2012. 2010 was just the warm-up.

I know, but I haven't been here long enough for it not to still be fun.

It is prudent to view with suspicion anyone who has been lurking inside the beltway for twenty years, just waiting his turn. Boehner still has something to prove, before earning the trust of real Americans.

This is a recipe for someone who will take you where you have been too often before, but who lacks the vision to crash through the underbrush to find higher ground.

Whole reason I posted the article. It's hilarious. I hope this becomes the new media talking point.

Absolutely. Cry Baby Boehner would have already capitulated if not for the Tea Party and the Angry Americans.

I think Mcconnell was stunned at the blowback he got when he announced his ridiculous plan.

They are every bit as flexible as a steel I-beam.

The tea party supported freshmen are saying, “No more business as usual? and the beltway insiders just can’t understand this.

Don't use fire, I heard it won't melt steel.

I know, I laughed when I read about how “far to the right” these new fire-breathing[!] guys are.
Now, if I were President, this guy would be shitting bricks; I’d likely make the “new guys” look like centrists.
{And after cutting things that aren’t Constitutionally mandated, like the DOE, the other DOE, NASA**, the Air Force**, the FCC,
the ATF, etc, I’d instruct my DOJ to read the Constitution’s Bill of Rights EVERY DAY, and these* two laws every week, and
apply them without prejudice to local law enforcement AND the Judiciary.}

** If they’re _REALLY_ needed then the Constitution can be amended to allow them.
