NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Buffeted by high taxes, strict regulations and uncertain state budgets, a growing number of California companies are seeking friendlier business environments outside of the Golden State. And governors around the country, smelling blood in the water, have stepped up their courtship of California companies.

It’s just sad, really. California could be a world power if they were their own nation, let alone a state in the USA. Yet, they are the best example of liberalism run amok since the USSR.
Californians ask, “Where is John Galt?”
If they were a nation, they’d be Greece.
Oh how I wish there was a way to make ONLY the liberals suffer for their abject stupidity. Sad thing is, they’re destroying all of the good conservatives in that state. Liberals are a cancer on whatever society they infest themselves in!
These f-ing idiots destroy whatever they touch. I wish there was an island...maybe a state where all these f-ing Marxists could be placed on. Let them live by their collectivism and Marxism. These POS wouldn’t survive without conservatives bailing their a$$es out!
I’ve even noticed in television that more and more of the production is taking place in Georgia instead of California. It’s rather ironic since Hollywood helped rot away the state with its liberalism.
This Californian is asking "directions to Irving, Texas?"
No kidding, I am quitting my childhood home and headed for Tx. In the next few months. I am looking at properties there over the next 2-4 weeks.
Irving works for me since I travel a lot and want to be as close to the airport as possible. And real estate is CHEAP!
Must have forgotten about Illinois Quinn :(
Well put!!!!
california would have been better off keeping greyout davis.

Friend of mine was in Frisco last week for a national bicycle race at their velodrome. It was 105 in the day and 95 at night. That’s pretty rough for us Bay Area folk who are used to low to mid 50s at night during the summer time. I lived weather like that for 7 years in Missouri don’t think I could do it again.
I hate the class warfare idiots. They hurt (knowingly so) those that they pompously proclaim to protect. The only people who gain are those who cynically manipulate the citizenry.
Low (or no) taxes on corporations enables them to reinvest, whether it be capital as in equipment; which in turn leads to growth which in turn leads to employment.
I'm not a wealthy person. Working class people need to understand and to be educated that healthy corporations are beneficial to their living standards, not harmful.
Among its goals will be to reverse the perception that California is business-unfriendly.
They hope to change the perception, they sure in hell aren't going to change the fact that they are business-unfriendly. This, of course, requires a new agency...or department or whatever. i.e. more government.

I’ve heard of a couple of this fleeing companies trampling illegal aliens that were fleeing Arizona to go to California. LOL!!! We needs some traffic control.
Actually, there was a report circulating that said we were in worse shape than Greece. I think it was on Zero Hedge.
Giving up the climate and convenience for so many things and places (beach, mountains, desert, etc.) is tough.
But I lived in the DFW area on and off for 3 years or so and I was able to do OK.
And California has made it crystal clear it doesn’t want me — hard work is punished and sloth and criminality rewarded.
There are now more people in the wagon than pulling it. I won’t pull any more.
I can believe it. I think Kalipornia leaders are even more in denial
The biggest problem in CA is that our taxes are too low. If our pols could just figure a way to get enough of our money, they could solve all of our problems.
