President Obama on Tuesday said he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks August 3 if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit in the coming weeks. Would somebody please tell this ‘sh!t-for-brains’ useful idiot that we do not have any “coffers” filled with money.
We, the taxpayers, are the ‘coffers’ he speaks of and we, the taxpayers, are taking your credit card away. It’s over, Mr. zero.
If Marx were alive today, he’d be sending flowers to the usurper with an attached note saying “Good job, Comrade, good job!”
On the other hand, ACORN checks will go out as scheduled.
What a cowardly punk is the undocumented Mickey from Nairobi - now he has taken to terrorizing the elderly and truly needy among us - whose sole income is their monthly SS check. Being as how I don’t want JimRob to toss me off of this site [America’s last best hope, along with Sarah Palin], I will say no more on this latest outrage, except to note that the Mickey’s capacity for doing evil is truly boundless. He has no shame, not one iota.
I’m telling you. The elderly are fit to be tied. This clown threatened Social Security checks for next month (I thought Bush was the one who wanted to take it away). Funny, no Cost of Living increase for two years, yet the hill and staffers got their raises and he’s hired a bazillion buddies while opening new offices. He’s already lied on Reps while he’s cut Medicare behind the scenes. The elderly are scared and it’s pissing me off. They built this country, worked hard, raised future citizens and they’re getting threatened on what they put in (and the gov’t according to Roosevelt, wasn’t to touch).
Not to mention the cuts on the disabled (re: needed meds/items). For the first time in my life, no lie, I saw a woman buying pet food for herself. I always heard the stories, but I saw it. (Of course I got her real food).
God forbid he stops paying all those made up offices or butt buddies he hired from the campaign. I want the Reps to accountant for every friggin’ dime through stimulus, omnibus, etc. that went to unions, ACORN (illegal), GE, ugly ass art, so called ‘non-profits’ and those falsified and phantom districts that money didn’t go to.
Meanwhile, he’s cutting the feet from under religious charities/adoption agencies, etc. who help. I thank God I have one more at home, i’d be jail.
People better wake up. It’s past time to go to D.C. again.

Per Rush Limbaugh, entitlements (includes SS) are not impacted by the debt ceiling.
So, this appears to be an outright lie.
IIRC, they used a similar warning/threat a few months ago when they were talking government shutdown — to which the SSA responded that checks would go out as scheduled, and that automatic deposits would also go out on time.
What a great cartoon - first time I've seen it... We need a variation on it for liberals and conservatives.
Liberals will be protecting criminals, drug addicts, and gang-bangers on Social Security Disability. Conservatives will be protected young families paying into the system, the truly disabled, and the elderly.

As someone else noted on a duplicate thread, IIRC only physical checks would be affected - direct deposits would still happen. This was mentioned in a prior “shut it down” discussion re: what in fact would get shut down, or not.
You can bet the GOP hasn’t got the brains to twist this around to say that if Obama doesn’t get his way HE WILL ORDER THAT SOCIAL SECURITY WILL NOT BE PAID REGARDLESS OF THE MONEY SITUATION. For the GOP to do that would prove that they are actually in the game & thinking and actually have a spine.
The day he was elected - from that day I felt a heaviness inside, a distinct feeling of I guess sorrow and fear. Can’t quite describe it. My lib nephew and his wife were celebrating the victory at Thanksgiving dinner that year and they thought I was crazy to feel the way I was feeling.

Sen. Rubio speaking with Rush Limbaugh just now stated that what the pResident would be admitting is ‘Social Security and everything else is being paid with borrowed money, not out of a trust fund.’ The real problem is the lying commie media who will do exactly as talking points sent to them from their little god’s goonsquad tell them to frame the issue. The scum in media need to be thinned using sharp guillotines.
So he is admitting there is no trust fund?
Oh now that needs a photoshopping with all the right symbols and a granny or two.
But God forbid you cut illegals off, kick them outta jail to their countries. Never mind the welfare, housing, extra law enforcement, gangs, crimes, school crowding (and the bi-lingualism costs), medical costs (through Medicaid and Medicare). Oh, and stop giving weapons to other countries (communist, drug cartels, SA muslims, whatever), in order to blame us and take ours away. Bye EPA, Board of Ed and many others to start.

What I don’t get is how ‘the people he snuckered as being one of their own’, have 50% unemployment in some places and are not screaming out. The NAACP and poverty pimps are busy going against Gladney (who was beatdown by union thugs) and doing Brother No. 1’s will. Disgusting.
Is 0bama saying we’re borrowing money to pay out SS benefits?
Hell, the demos have stated for years that the money is safe in a lock-box.
The checks will go out, SS is not part of the debt-limit conversation. In fact 0bama couldn’t stop the checks if he wanted to. It’s takes some time to reprogram the computers, etc.
The next Tea Party onslaught on DC will have more people, with so many out of work - they have the time to protest now!
