Cheers.
For some reason the libs werent so outraged when Obaama served $399 bottles of wine at his taxpayer-funded state dinner
but Libs today were stunned and outraged that popular conservative Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) ordered a $350 bottle of wine for dinner in New York.
TPM reported, via Ann Althouse:
When [Professor Feinberg] saw the label on the bottle of Jayer-Gilles 2004 Echezeaux Grand Cru Ryans table had ordered, she quickly looked it up on the wine list and saw that it sold for an eye-popping $350, the most expensive wine in the house along with one other with the same pricetag.
Feinberg, an economist by training, was even more appalled when the table ordered a second bottle .
We were just stunned, said Feinberg
She was outraged

I agree with all you said, except we do not set the salary, government sets the salary. But yes once he is paid it is his to use.
LOL, nice try, shill.
Hey everyone, want to see what a classic Fear-Uncertainty-Doubt (FUD) attack looks like? Go read post #40.
LOL, I'll give you an A for effort, though. Now go back to your instructor and ask what to do when you've been outed.
Bergundy? Not my taste, give me a nice Cabernet.
Thank you, sitetest.
AGAIN....Ryan didn’t order the wine, when verbally attacked, he asked about the wine, found out the cost and insisted on paying for one of the bottles. HIS money is HIS whether from his salary as a Congressman OR private earnings....if you want to champion the slashing of Congressional salaries go right ahead....just do not attack a man for using his salary to buy anything. He did not use Government money, he used his own.
Like the guy said upthread.....should the military be told how to spend their money since the defense budget is so high?
How can you be on a conservative website and argue from your point of view? Unbelievable.
Would have made for great You Tube! ;-)
Maybe he was already rich. Most of them are.
So what is the limit that is ok for them to spend. Also who does this pertain to, Prez, Congressmen, Heads of Agencies or all government workers?
In case anyone wants to see a picture of, or correspond with Professor Feinberg...

Well .... except that the fact that he's getting ripped as it retails for $89.00 a bottle on-line -- WHOOP DEE DOO!
(it used to be sop for a restaurant to double the retail price, guess times have changed)
When I used to imbibe and go to dinner my wine choice was Moet & Chandon Brut. Or for a special occasion -- like it was a Tuesday :-), I'd order... Dom Perignon Brut. (I'd hate to think what either would cost today in a restaurant.)So what's this libs problem anyway? And if that joint is so pricey that it apparently 'offends her' what was SHE doing there? Why wasn't she at a Hot Dog Stand, handing out $20.00 Bills to poor people passing by?
Especially since they have to charge her overweight baggage fees.
Trust me there is, and it's goooooooood.
(It's gotta be 'Brut' though)
And I hate to say it, but that's the only thing the French can do that's right. (California wine sucks IMHO)
Wow, how dare you call me a shill. Outed???? Yeah right. I suggest you check my profile; compared to me, you are a noob—and a fool.” How long have you been here? How many articles have you posted? I have posted 53—so people know where I am coming from...I am no shill. How many comments have you posted?!?! I have made 5,530 and counting.
“Hey everyone...” are you the new Freeper anchor?!? FUD attack? Ooh. Did you make that up yourself?
You have a right to disagree with my opinion, but I have have a right to express my opinion (controversial as it may be) without being called a shill. I supported my position and you did nothing except attack. You were waaaaay out of line. Maybe you need to go back to YOUR instructor and get a clue.
oops my mistake, it was $350.00 a bottle that Ryan had, not $399.00 like I posted.
She’s probably the Soros paid follower for Ryan, watching to see what he does that can be sent on to the Sorosmedia to out him.
bushwon made further comments down thread.....read up on them.
Could be.
It seems like she was in pretty pricey restaurant for having to live on a Teacher's, oops - 'Professor's' - salary.
Nonsense, I understand he used his “birthday money” why would you believe the leftists?
