Some Palin critics are perfectly honorable, if wrong, such as those who cite her supposed lack of experience, the fact that she endorsed McCain in 2010, etc. But MANY Palin critics resort to the same deceitful techniques that Romeny folks did "in the ol' days," back in '08 -- deliberately misrepresent ("Palin's a quitter!") or downright lie ("Palin created a windfall profits tax on the oil companies!").
When somebody is reduced to stooping that low, it is a SURE SIGN that they're on the wrong side, and that their position is very, very weak. And when it's relatively easy to prove their arguments are gross distortions of truth or outright lies, why -- it's opportunity to do something really worthwhile!
It will be happy hunting! I sure hope she runs. I saw just now on another thread someone saying how great it would be if Palin announced on August 4th that she was running for president. On Obama's birthday -- WOULDN'T THAT BE FABULOUS!!!!

First, McCain was Palin’s running mate. Second, anyone who denies the simple fact that had McCain/Palin gotten enough votes, Obama would not be president is a liar or a fool. Third, That ‘assume’ thing applies...you made an ass out of yourself. Lack of evidence does not constitute evidence of anything and I am far from a Romneybot or a McCain ‘fan’.
And most importantly, so you really want me to waste the time of the man who said repeatedly to the Romney/Paulbots “FR is Palin country” (Palin...you know, McCain’s VP choice?) If memory serves, the boss wanted Palin as VP. To get that, simple logic says that McCain would have had to be president. Not that any of us ‘wanted’ McCain, but we all had to hold our nose.

I don't know, Finny. Shooting lunatic trolls off the bridge gets really tiresome after a while. Seems that I spend half my freeping time doing only that, these days. I long ago swore off engaging in verbal fisticuffs with mindless liberals, and began spending all of my leisure time at places like Free Republic, so that I could engage with like-minded, thinking people. Now, it appears that the same types of people (albeit calling themselves conservatives) have invaded my sanctuary.
It's annoying, to say the least.
Some people say that if you zot everyone who disagrees with you, you wind up with an echo chamber, which soon bores everyone to death. Nothing could be further from the truth on a conservative board. Conservatives are, by their very nature, individuals, unique in every way. They're free thinkers, and will never all agree on anything. Not so, with the liberal borg, who have NO tolerance for any thought which strays from liberal orthodoxy.
In my observation, the behavior of PDSers is indistinguishable from that of liberals, and arguing with them leaves the same hollow feeling, once the dust settles.

The first name in the "To:" field was SideoutFred as a courtesy, because, technically I was replying to 528: if I had replied directly to your post #523 you would've gone "Huh?" because (as you point out) you *hadn't* mentioned Romney.
