Yes she did supposedly “order” rollins to apologize, but not immediately.

They brushed it off until they realized it was becoming a big story. Bachmann`s mail box was flooded with complaints from angry Conservatives. Only then did she tell Eddy to apologize.

The apology needed to come from MB personally, to late now as far as I am concerned.

TPAW`s guy Webber apologized to MB for a remark recently, TPAW had the decency/character to apologize personally/publicly himself to MB, but MB does not believe that Gov Palin is owed the same respect.

MB is of no interest to me at all, if anything good has come out of it, this is it...we know she has no character, and is not fit for the highest office in the land...JMHO :)

This single issue, if pursued aggressively, could topple the Obama administration, but the Repubs lack the instinct and courage to go for the jugular.

That’s why we’re an Oligarchy now. They simply go the motions and cover each other’s asses. They’ve been told not to cross the line because their families have been threatened.

George Bush and others could have exposed 0bama for what he is. Bush betrayed his oath of office.

I don’t know how to respond. I can’t get into Michelles’ mind, don’t know what she is thinking.Picking a fight with Palin is not a brilliant move that’s for sure.

The answer is that TPaw has a legimate point about Bachmann, but he himself is a poor, weak alternative—executive experience or not.

Pawlenty did NOT go after Bachman...don’t know which show you watched.

He said her legislative accomplishment is nil, heard it with my own lying ears.

Maybe you thinnk my phrase "go after" is a bit hard but he said it, he did, please don't accuse me of lying.

I also said, not that it much matters, that, well he's got a point. I don't know of any legislation that Bachmann sponsored but by me it's kind of a lame argument. Most of those Reps don't do much of nothing, whatever that means.

And I stand by my refusal to vote for Romney. i hardly think my one little vote will re-elect Obama, and you can call me names I guess, cast aspersions my way, maybe I deserve it,.

but I'm still not going to pull the lever for him. I'll not discuss this subject any more. I WILL pull the lever for most any other of the current repub field...all of them beyond Romney for now, though I reserve the right to change my mind later. Obvisouly I have preferences but for now, I'm in for any Repub except Romney.

Wasn't TPaw the Country Club pick 8 weeks ago? Once again the Punditocracy is proved wrong, just like their dismissing of Palin.

Pray for America

Wow it’s been well over a month now and some Palin supporters are still whining about Ed Rollins. I’m amazed at how much space someone occupies in their minds. I sure hope to God Palin is tougher than some of her supporters here or she’ll never make it a presidential campaign.

I’ve been active in the Republican party, but in the Northeast, where Perry’s style would not play well in the GOP, let alone with independents or conservative Democrats.

Also, I think people are drawn to his resume as a three-term governor of a growing state. The more they see of his campaigning style and hear of his religious pandering, however, the more put off I believe early prospective supporters outside of his region will be.

I do think he could sneak onto a national ticket just fine with Palin at the top, however, in part because having a self-proclaimed feminist woman at the top would offset his good-ol’-boy style.

A tax deduction is not a loophole. It is a legal deduction permitted by congress. Repeat.

#####

Every “loophole” is a legal deduction written into the tax code and passed into law by a group of congressmen. The fact that some “loopholes” affect a very narrow, even sometimes, as small as one, corporation or group, does not make it less legal.

“Getting rid of loopholes” applies to any legitimate tax deduction, but it has become a shorthand phrase for getting rid of the deductions for one group of people instead of another group of people.

Yes, they’ve been through TPaw and Daniels and Pence and Ryan and Christie and Huntsman. I think they are still very doubtful of Mitt and are desperate enough to look to that yahoo Perry, who at least is a globalist and will play the game with them.

I get it from a station in Lakeland, Fl. When the price of gas was over $4 for the 93 with ethanol, I was paying around $4.60 for the non-ethanol grade.

I heard the Pawlenty/Gregory debate on cspan. Gregory sounded like a pitbull. I was glad I didn’t have to look at him. He also sounded very frustrated that he couldn’t get certain “admissions” from Pawlenty. TP may be charisma-challenged, but he doesn’t back down and is able to justify his actions and positions very well. I can see where he would have been a chosen-by-the-insiders candidate. Policy-wise he sounds great. Perhaps a high-up cabinet post in a Palin Administration would be a strong slot for him.

Way to go, rodguy, I mean way for your kids to go.

My son-in-law is an inventor. I keep hoping he’ll invent liquid paper or something as revolutionary so they can support me.

Your posts always strike a chord and this one seemed to do so especially.

How many lies are now considered to be truths? And who’s to blame?

I put it on the media for number one.

I can’t speak to the NE at all as it pertains to Perry, but straight talk seems to be working in Ohio, NJ where neither gov. tries to hide their religious beliefs. Pandering would be another matter, I suppose, but I was attracted to Perry’s refusal to apologize about his conservtism.

agreed

like the ATM was for those earning over 100k in the 60’s. but now that inflation/debasement of pay has pushed many into this no deduction category.

each party wants to grant favors to their supporters. one party’s favors/deductions is the other party’s loophole.

the republicans should put out there that the dems want to close the mortgage/property loophole and close the muni bond loophole, whenever the dems start changing the terms of the discussion.
