Unbelievable: TV Reporter Mocks Romney's Mormonism
Commentary ^

Polls show there's an anti-Mormon bias among voters - especially Democrats, more than a quarter of whom say they wouldn't vote for a Mormon. But this video of a Memphis Fox affiliate ridiculing Mitt Romney about his religion is a real wake-up call [video]. The whole news segment appears to be about Mormonism and the 2012 election, but skip ahead to the 3:20 mark for the worst of it [video].

A very large number of the Mormon accounts are still open, they merely lost interest in freerepublic and stopped posting when Mitt Romney dropped out of the primary.
They will return as things heat up in the primary, in other words, when the Romney candidacy makes coming to freerepublic worth doing again.

You are Mormon, and one of the chief Romney promoters here, weren't all the Mormons pro-Romney?Not all. (I don't think DU was; & Domandred critiqued Romney a fair amount in '08...tho haven't seen Domandred on too many lds threads in recent yrs...Domandred, from my observation, has been an objective, fair-minded poster... unlike so many Lds FREEPERS who got themselves zotted... most weren't "driven off" as spiff's tall tales go...they broke the rules & self-invited a zot!)

I used to think I could vote for a Mormon. But after some thought, I figured, If hes stupid enough to fall for Joseph Smiths made-up religion, then hes too stupid to be President. Not sure I could vote for someone who really believes all that silliness.Bingo!
Although I do make a distinction 'tween intelligence & discernment. Plenty of Mormons, including Romney, have the former but hard-core lack the latter.

1. He wouldnt be the 1st Mormon POTUS Since he ran last a mormon POTUS has been elected Oh noes a black one...the mormons dead dunked Barrys Momma into Momonism and SEALED her to her son...The mormon ancients are rolling...That's right. (The Mormons will do anything to get a Mormon in the White House...although that part about a Mormon POTUS riding in a White Horse to "save the constitution"...for some reason, I just don't think that applies to the Obama family)

Most people will tell you that the Mormons they know are well meaning, honest individuals (of course except for Harry Reid) that DO NOT proselytize or mock other religions. Then it appears that MOST people have no idea about MORMONism at all!

Elsie-if youre isolating on one candidates religion, its mocking.OK, let's try this same logic on you, secondamendmentkid: "if you're isolating on one" poster's religious posts (like Elsie's), "it's mocking."
Hmm...seems suspect for some reason...
Does that also mean that if the Lds missionary training center has a new missionary learning certain basic foreign language skills in order to concentrate on a specific given culture, they're "mocking" that culture?
Hmmm...seems something is missing there logically...don't worry, I'm sure it'll come to me.
greyfoxx - see Nana above, can you read and do you read posts on FR very often; if you want to have such intense hatred, focus it on the DemCraps.
Didn't your momma ever teach ya, 'kid, that if you're going to critique someone publicly to be specific? (IOW, please show exact examples of so-called "id'd" "intense hatred").
If you can't learn to do this in your ladhood, laddy, 'tis lit'le hope for ye when ye are araisin' some wee ones. I mean, I can just imagine it now: Your future son has done something supposedly worthy of discipline, but you won't tell him what he's being disciplined for...tell us, 'kid, how is that a "learning" experience? How can someone "correct" something if you're going to be "Generic G.I. Joe" & just take the ad hominen attack route by calling them "haters?"
...the hatred exhibited by yall is something else. Try reading Matthew Ch. 7, v. 1. Muslims, Hindus, and Wiccans dont receive that much venom around here.
Venom. Hmm. I know I learned in school what critter that came from...but it just escapes me temporarily...I'm thinkin' "snake" for some reason, but I know that can't be right. I mean, after all, you wouldn't infer, 'kid, that half-a-dozen fellow conservative Christian FREEPERS are "snakes," would you? At least not right after a sentence where you're giving your "hatred exhibited by y'all" lecture. Right?
Tell us, 'kid: Give us the Bible chapter-and-verse where it's "loving thy neighbor" to imply that your fellow conservative Christian FREEPERS are "snakes." (And for some reason, I just don't get the sense that you were thinking of Jesus advising His followers to be as "wise as serpents.")

That's sound vaguely familiar.
HMMmmm....
Oh yeah!
The Persecuted MORMONs were DRIVEN out of Missouri and they BARELY escaped with their LIVES!!
Except the ones who stayed behind and prospered.
