That’s exactly what the terrorists want to do. They know they can’t win in a brawl, so their next best idea is to make the United States become an increasingly Orwellian regime by justification of security. It’s sad how far they have succeeded.
I thought that this was what we should have been doing to high level detainees, then track them until they get back to headquarters and bloooie! Or at least give them the appearance of having had such surgery and then let the higher-ups in the terrorist organization worry about who was carrying what and which X-ray opacity was going to go off at any time.
