CNN is reporting that Casey Anthony was served papers in jail Tuesday night for her deposition on a defamation lawsuit filed by Zenaida Gonzalez. Attorney John Morgan from Morgan & Morgan in Orlando is representing Gonzalez in the case.
According to the Morgan & Morgan website, Gonzalez was falsely named as Caylee Anthony's babysitter and that Casey Anthony said that Caylee was with the nanny when she disappeared.
The nanny was never found, but Gonzalez was questioned by authorities. Morgan & Morgan said that Gonzalez has never met Caylee or Casey Anthony. Morgan & Morgan's website says that Gonzalez's "life has been turned upside down" since the accusation.
According to Morgan & Morgan's website, the suit seeks to "clear Ms. Gonzales' name and rectify the damage done to her by the devastating, false accusations of Casey Anthony."
I hope Nana Zana gets a multi-million dollar judgment against Casey and stalks the latter for every dime Casey makes from her infamy until her dying day (a’la the Goldmans).

She is just getting her claim in first. Good for her and I hope others follow.
I doubt if this goes anywhere. IIRC, Casey made up the name “Zany the Nanny”. This woman just happened to have the same name.
I wonder if she is Zanny the Nanny? I wonder if there is anyone named Weiner that can sue Weiner? Or Hoorors. Are there any other Chris Matthews out there? This will open up a million new lawsuits. The lawyers will love it.
This suit will be tossed. It is stupid. Casey did not publicize it the Cops and Media did. She should sue HLN.
She certainly deserves compensation for the attack that the lying Casey Anthony made on her reputation.
She said that “Zanny the Nanny’s” name WAS “Zenaida Gonzalez”. And even said that the nanny’s mother was named “Gloria”. There just happened to be a real Zenaida Gonzales.

Not really. This woman looked at an apartment at sawgrass aprtments and the apartment she looked at was the exact same apartment that Casey gave as the nanny’s address. Since Zenaida Gonzales had filled out a rental application and Casey knew someone who lived in the apartment complex, there was some speculation that was how casey came up with the name.

How can you prove defamation when it was not directed at you personally?

Casey Anthony will make a lot of money. She has the kind of talent that a lot of men will pay for. I hope everybody named Gonzalez files a lawsuit against her.
I also want Zenilda to pop lying George, Cindy and Lee.
Tim Miller from Equisearch is on HLN now saying that he is leaning hard in persuing civil legal action against Casey and the Anthony’s, since Baez said Caylee was never missing. Millier spent $100,000 searching for a child that Baez says was never missing. He wants to recoup that money so he can spend it
of real missing children.

Casey accused a Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez as kidnapping her child. She lied for two years (there about) that she worked at Universal Studios and her child was being cared for by this person that she 'fondly' called 'Zanny' the 'Nanny'. The police tracked down this woman and interrogated her for to account of her life in the case of this missing child.
Yet, Casey finally along with her parents had to finally admit this was NOT the baby sitter Casey used. Casey searched for how to make chloroform, guess she must have run out of 'Zanny' for her child.

It’s conceivable. If Casey came by the information that there was a Zenaida Gonzalez who had filled out a rental application at the apartment building she gave as the Nanny’s address, then she was giving the name of someone who was a real person by her own knowledge.
That’s different than inventing a name from nothing out of nowhere.
Because she went on to say that this named person, who she believed did exist (and who did exist), kidnapped little Caylee.
One would think the attorney in her lawsuit would have nailed this down before proceeding.
