That was fast.
This morning on Morning Joe Mark Halperin, under the impression Morning Joe was on a 7 second delay, said he thought President Obama was a 'dick' in his press conference yesterday.
He quickly apologized once it became clear the remark had aired, ad did the entire Morning Joe crew.
Apparently that was not enough.
MSNBC has since suspended Halperin. Their statement:
"Mark Halperins comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst."

"Yes it's true....This man has no dick."
Now, people, they can’t let the whole country know that even liberal journalists are beginning to turn on the emporer. Especially at MSDNC. I’ll bet Jarrett was on the phone two seconds after the words came out of his mouth.
Unfortunately, I agree.
Huh, what’s wrong with him speaking the truth?
I like your version better.
The truth hurts and... the Halperin remark will stick. It should have been: POTUS Obama is an UnAmerican, Dirt Bag, Destroyer of the American economy and America itself. Period!!! Now...as for MSNBC, they did the country a favor by suspending Halperin. Why? First Halperin knows now how quickly the liberal low life will jump on one of their own, just as PBS did to Fox News commentator, Juan Williams. Second, the Halperin suspension will be aired on every newscast in the country today and this evening, showcasing to the whole country what a crass, unprofessional, hate America, POTUS Obama really is. And... third, the liberal, biased media sinks even lower as they continue to cover up and spin for the American destroying Obama. Gotta say, the executives at MSNBC are certainly not the sharpest knives in the drawer!!!
This from a company that allowed one of their shows to air a segment called “worst person in the world” for months.
As saying someone was a “dick” is worse than saying they are the worst person in the world.
HALPERIN: "Boy, that was a long segment. You know what? After reading that last page, I'd like to put my foot up Sarah Palin's a**!" (LONG PAUSE) Harry! You got that, right?"
(CAMERA PANS TO HARRY THE SEVEN SECOND DELAY UNION GUY...HIS INDEX FINGER IS FIRMLY PLANTED IN HIS RIGHT NOSTRIL UP TO HIS FIRST KNUCKLE AS HE STARES BLANKLY AT THE OPPOSITE WALL)
HARRY THE SEVEN SECOND DELAY UNION GUY: (TURNS HEAD ABRUPTLY) "Huh?"
HALPERIN: "You got that...right? Right? We weren't on the air, right? Were we? WERE WE? OH MY GOD! ARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!"
“...Comments like these have no place on our air.....when directed at a DEMCORAT.”
I have to concur. He should be suspended for such until he apologises for his bad language and then recites and edited version of his comments.
Gutter type language shouldn't be used on TV.
Might I suggest he use either "penis" or "weiner" in place of the "gutter language" type word "dick"...
Mad Dawgg
(p.s. tallywhacker is also an acceptable substitute ala Porky's)
“...Comments like these have no place on our air.....when directed at a DEMOCRAT.”
Do you and they watch MSNBC? LOL!
NO, it was replayed on Rush’s program with 15+ Million listeners...I love it!
I rcognize Hillary! as Ahab, and Chelsea and the lecherous old man and Obama as the great (half) white whale; but who is playing the part of QueeQueg?
Mika Brzezinski: Lordy.
Halperin: I wanted to characterize how the president behaved.
Scarborough: We have it. We can use it. Go for it. Lets see what happens.
Brzezinski: Were behind you, you fall down and we catch you.
Halperin: I thought he was a dick yesterday.
Scarborough: Delay that. delay that. what are you doing? i cant believe Iwas joking. Dont do that. Did we delay that?
Scarborough gave Halperin the green light. Suspend him!
+2!
Other terms would be more descriptive-even though the term used is applicable.
Such an unlikely combination!
