That was fast.
This morning on Morning Joe Mark Halperin, under the impression Morning Joe was on a 7 second delay, said he thought President Obama was a 'dick' in his press conference yesterday.
He quickly apologized once it became clear the remark had aired, ad did the entire Morning Joe crew.
Apparently that was not enough.
MSNBC has since suspended Halperin. Their statement:
"Mark Halperins comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst."

But Blanche he is a dick!
They did NOTHING to that witch....who called Bush a monkey ...remember?
I don’t think it’s right for them to suspend Halperin. Everybody I know would agree with him.
If he would have said that about GWB, he would have been given the “Journalist of the Year” Award.
As usual, the hypocracy stinks to high heaven. Where is the outrage when PMSNBC talking heads slander and ridicule right wingers?
If it weren’t for the fact I NEVER watch PMSNBC, I’d boycott them.
Perhaps he got a call from Roger Ailes a few days ago?
Did Mark Halperin take one for the team suggesting Obama is a “flake”?
Exactly,
the media sure is professional, fair, objective and unbiased.
Just like every other program they promote for obama.
Or, at the very least, a Weiner.
Another big pile of crap. It will just give The One an opportunity to throw his nose and chin in the air and lecture us about ‘lowering the rhetoric’ and gain sympathy from the great unwashed.
But, but, he told the truth. Guess the truth is not a priority at MSNBC. MSNBC -where truth will get one punished.
I’m curious — if he called Durbin a Dick what would the reaction be?
I guess we finally have proof that MSNBC does not like the truth spoke on air! LOL
Oh my God. You mean it went out on live national tv and 3 people heard it?
Or Weiner
Or Frank
Now there's an interesting statement, "high level of discourse," if I ever heard one.
Is it April Fool's Day in June???
Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews set MSNBC's standard for a "high level of discourse".
Does this mean that Halperin no longer thinks Obama is god?
Unfortunately, because of the flap over the use of the word, we didn’t get to hear why Halperin thought he is one.
