That was fast.
This morning on Morning Joe Mark Halperin, under the impression Morning Joe was on a 7 second delay, said he thought President Obama was a 'dick' in his press conference yesterday.
He quickly apologized once it became clear the remark had aired, ad did the entire Morning Joe crew.
Apparently that was not enough.
MSNBC has since suspended Halperin. Their statement:
"Mark Halperins comments this morning were completely inappropriate and unacceptable. We apologize to the President, The White House and all of our viewers. We strive for a high level of discourse and comments like these have no place on our air. Therefore, Mark will be suspended indefinitely from his role as an analyst."

Precisely, it was a high viewer day. Otherwise, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there...
Looks like they’re trying to blame the tech guy instead of potty-mouth Halperin.
Astonishing quote from Politico’s story about the incident:
“According to Scarborough, there had been a mishap with the seven-second delay button a new executive producer apparently didnt know how it worked. ‘You are supposed to know how to do the job,’ Scarborough said of his producer. ‘I would tell you what I think of him, but he doesnt know what button to push.’ “

Sad state of our society when you gotta have a clean-up guy at the ready to catch all the dirty language.
The Province of New York vs. John Peter Zenger 1735.
“The truth of an accusation is a defense.”
This is an own goal.
MSNBC could have just let it slip by with some kind of statement against what was said.
But by making a big deal with suspending Halperin, Obama is left with “Dick” written all over him.
The man had a brain fart and the truth popped out.
So what?
I love how they made a big deal about how it wasn’t supposed to get on the air.
I guess even at MSNBC it’s ok to call the Pres. a dick just as long as your mic is not hot.
hee hee hee
>> Does this mean that Halperin no longer thinks Obama is god?
*THAT*, my FRiend, is the real story here. Halperin is one of the koolaid-drunk commie faithful — and he thinks Bambi is a weiner, and said so on national teevee! (Albeit unwittingly.)
Talk about an unscripted media event sending chills down The Won’s spineless spine...
And yet, Bill Maher still has a gig.
Actually, the guy just said Obama was a dick during that one press conference. Palin and Bachmann and other Republicans have been called as bad or worse on MSNBC, and it wasn’t qualified to one particular instance.
MARK HALPERIN: Do we have the seven-second delay today? I want to characterize how I thought the President behaved.
MIKA BRZEZINSKI: We have it. We can use it—right [Executive Producer] Alex?
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Yeah, sure, come on, take a chance. Have faith.
BRZEZINSKI: Let’s see what happens.
SCARBOROUGH: I’m behind you. You fall down, I’m gonna catch you.
BRZEZINSKI: And the precedent has been set on the show, so you’re good [a reference to Joe dropping an f-bomb back in 2008, leading to the installation of the seven-second delay].
HALPERIN: I thought he was kind of a d—k yesterday.
SCARBOROUGH: Oh my God. Delay that! Delay that! What are you doing? I can’t believe you—I was joking! Don’t do that! Did we delay that?
**********************************
And Halperin is the one who gets in trouble??
He checked with both hosts. Checked with executive producer. Everyone was supportive, told him to go for it. They’d catch him.
Now? Not so much.
If he had said “arrogant,” that would have made the same point and he wouldn’t have been suspended.
I’m for pundits sticking to the high road in their comments, no matter who they are talking about.
"Oh my God. You mean it went out on live national tv MSNBC and 3 people heard it?"
LOL...there, fixed it!
You mean they let it get out on the air after warning the director it was coming?
They are really, really stupid at MSNBC.
Sounds like to me they say one thing behind the scenes and something else in front of. I say they holding Obamas water. Just like we said they were. Evidence? OBvious? and Telling!!!!
Of course if the comment would have been about a conservative, the comment would have been “We apologize to anyone that might have been offended.” In other words, in that case, they were glad they said it.
“We strive for a high level of discourse ...”
Oh really, when? where?
Press Release(PR) Mark has his press credentials pulled because his PR called the fraud an “...ick” The 0 doesn’t have one —he is one.
