Life would be a whole lot simpler if our omniscient Founding Fathers had left us a Constitution replete with footnotes, references and Cliffs Notes

They did. One part of the collection is customarily referred to as "The Federalist Papers". If the author of this piece (OS) could read it would have been worth his time to have a go at them.

The real problem is that Eric Holder's people won't be free to rob, beat and/or rape non-Eric Holder's people without fearing for their lives.

It's not like it was that long ago the mayor got beaten to near death while at the county fair.

The liberal line is so easy. Every morning is a new day with a new set of facts and the joy of declaring a new line of bull$hit with no foundation. Every evening is a new dusk of nobody calling you on it either.

Disarming your potential enemies remains a top priority for the radical left. It was for Hitler too.

“a Constitution replete with footnotes, references and Cliffs Notes”

I guess John never read the Federalist Papers.

Or any writings by Jefferson, Madison, Franklin and a few other ‘utterances’ by these and other founders.

But, that wouldn’t fit his agenda.

Better to be ‘ignorant than wrong’. Right John?

I hear, every single day, about crimes where I say to myself....I say, “Self, those crimes would never have happened if those people carried a firearm.”

I am a firm supporter of the right to keep guns and ammunition at home, one’s place of business and maybe in one’s vehicle. I do not support carrying a gun on one’s person as one goes about their daily affairs. If many people start carrying guns on a daily basis eventually we will be back to Dodge City 1870. It might be wise to remember that even “wild west towns” restricted the carrying of fire arms.

"My question is who would want to? "

I never did until we got a marxist/socialist as a "president" hell-bent to divide America along racial and class lines...now I feel it's mandatory for survival.

Follow the time line - this "carry" movement didn't light on fire until obama got elected...surely someone in the media can connect those dots.

"I'm willing to concede that under our Constitution, citizens possibly have the right to carry a concealed weapon"

Really?! Well then, I'm willing to concede that under our Constitution, citizens possibly have the right to speak what they think with restraint from their government (from those who fancy themselves the rulers of the rest of us)

It’s hard to deal with people who write stuff like this. He probably feels so good writing it.

He would probably dirty his drawers if he knew how many of his fellow citizens were now legally carrying.......probably some on his own staff.

The Second Amendment has nothing to with crime, hunting or any sport involving firearms. Its intent is to give the citizens of this country the means to resist, and if necessary, overthrow tyranny.
Put simply, it is the right to revolt.

My question is who would want to? With crime rates falling in even our toughest neighborhoods, who besides paramilitary militias could possibly conceive of a clear and present danger that daily necessitates carrying a gun?

Wow.....I don't even know where to begin.

A fool & his keyboard.

Colt equalized normal people to Union Thuggs..

The problem is.. DO the Unions OWN Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan?..
They surely think they do.. the teachers, police and firefighters.. think they OWN those states..
Other Federal and State(and local) government workers use them as foils..

The question IS.... Are those States too far gone for FREEDOM to exist?....

ONLY “right to work” States have anything close to FREEDOM...
For those states have the right to “NOT BE A MEMBER OF A UNION”..
