“Romney Touts Ability to Find Common Ground With Democrats”
Over the past 40 years, all this had meant was bigger, more expensive government and less accountability.
I actually supported him for awhile in the last election - he was far better then McCain but I don’t understand his new positions.

George W. Bush also had a talent for finding common ground with Democrats. And John McCain and Bob Dole and George H.W. Bush. Remind me how those worked out.

If Romney could plausibly claim an ability to find common ground with Republicans, then I would listen.

“Common ground with democrats” means that he is willing to kiss their asses and screw conservative values to score points with the democrat/media complex.
Get lost, Willard.

I will never, ever forget McLame, 20 seconds after being yelled at by the man in the bleachers, “Go get ‘em,” referring to Pelosi, Reid, Frank, etc., saying “I hear you. I hear you. And that’s why we’re going to reach across the aisle...”

Apparently Romney just doesn’t get it. If we wanted common ground you could put McCain in there.
We need a leader.

I’ve been wrong all this time calling him “Dole III”. I should call him McCain II.

I'm sure Chamberlain bragged about his ability to work with Hitler too. Some say he was just naive. However: If you hold this view, reading The Chamberlain-Hitler Collusion will shock. You will find out that the British ruling class found nothing abhorrent in the Nazis. They welcomed Hitler's regime (as they did Franco's and Mussolini's), encouraged Germany to re-arm, and fully expected to work in alliance with it, right up until 1939. The book dispels the idea that Chamberlain desired a deal with Hitler because he was naive or wanted to avoid bloodshed. Indeed much of Chamberlain's hopes rested on encouraging Germany to go to war - against the Soviet Union. I'm not comparing Romney with Chamberlain other than making a point that working with one's opponents is either naive or there is a hidden agenda.

I worked with [former Massachusetts Sen.] Ted Kennedy, for Petes sakes, We know! On RomneyCare. That's the PROBLEM, not a PLUS.
Get a clue -there IS no 'working WITH" the devil. they do NOT work 'with' us, the ride roughshod until our RHINO's give in.
You do not make deals with the devil and come out even, let alone ahead..."for Pete's " or anyone Else's sake.
We realize you're making nice with them still, so's they'll continue to back you for our candidate - but we don't want you, you lily-livered traitor, aka "Plastic Man"
