Sarah Palin appears to be designing her impending visit to Iowa to be as low-key as possible.
The former Alaska governor is slated to arrive in the small Iowa town of Pella on Tuesday to attend the premiere of "The Undefeated" -- a flattering documentary that highlights her accomplishments in office and bangs the drum for a potential insurgent campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. Though she is never lacking for attention, Palin's trip figures to be scrutinized especially closely, since it will mark her first appearance this year in the nation's first voting state.
Politico reported on Monday that Palin aides were reaching out to Iowa operatives and activists to set up meetings during her visit, citing Chuck Laudner, a former Iowa GOP executive director. But Laudner told RCP that he did not have a private meeting scheduled with Palin and that no one who works for the former governor had made contact with him.
Laudner said that he received an invitation to attend the festivities surrounding the movie premiere from Peter Singleton, a California native who moved to Iowa several months ago to help organize in the state in advance of a possible Palin presidential run. Singleton is acting on his own and is not a Palin aide but has often been confused for one as he has made his presence known across the state.
"Putting me on this list doesn't really mean much to me," Laudner told RCP. "I'm on a list to go to this event, but I didn't expect there was going to be high drama. . . . He just said be there, and I said OK."
For his part, Singleton confirmed to RCP that he has not been working with the Palin camp.

I do not believe that Sarah Palin is running.....maybe in a VP slot but not for President. Since the media is keying on her, she is a great distraction and it may be planned that way. Good plan if it’s true.
Stunning, POLITICO, Wrong!!!
I don’t think she wants to be VP, I just think she’s doing what she can to get Obama out of the WH, no matter who the candidate is.
Gee, we're real smart being able to figure all this out, huh? Like, almost psychic and stuff, right?
Yah.

Wow! Just because she doesn’t coordinate with GOP key players for the premier, this confirms your theory that she isn’t running? Just the fact that she is showing up and meeting and greeting hundreds of local Pella citizens about a movie detailing her accomplishment means nothing
Can we all agree that NONE of us have a clue what she is doing. For what it is worth, I am loving the ride... She Rocks.

The premier has nothing to do with my impression that she isn’t going to run. I have felt this for some time. Right now, she has the Democrats scared as hell, as it should be. She would be great in the debates and I don’t have any reservations about her running. I just don’t think she is.....I may be wrong, but...........don’t get your panties in a wad just on an opinion.
You got it. Whatever she’s going to do, it’s going to be fun.
I can agree with your comment and add, even if she is not running, the current selection of candidates is NOT it. One way or the other, Palin will have a very loud say in who the Republicans put up against Obama.
I agree,I don’t think she is running. I think her family comes first, and I admire her for that. She will help to get Obama out of office. Denco
You have my agreement. “I’m bored with checkers, GOP. I say we all play chess.”
Nah....she ain’t running. Just going to Iowa to stock her freezer with good Iowa corn.....
Who exactly is a KEY Iowan? How does one get to be KEY?
Are they prevented from seeking out Ms. Palin?
Are the KEY people those who support or do not support Palin?
Are they people whose feet must be washed?
If so, I’m glad that Sarah will leave their feet dirty.
The people that matter are those who wash their own feet.
She’s steering clear of Obama’s FEC goons by correcting the story on her “reaching out.”. They’d love to stick her with an FEC violation.
You’re right though. She’s not running. With the way the GOP demolition derby is going, she may just “not run” for months yet. :)
TWB
Don’t have a clue where the bus is. :)
Well, just excuse the p!ss out of me. What in the hell does anyone think that Iowa, outside of some early publicity caucuses or whatever the hell they do is called, means a goddam thing to me here in Georgia? Because this sh!t is supposed to ‘make or break’ her candidacy if she declares? Screw that. Screw New Hampshire and the other early bird states. If I have to, I’ll write in. But I damned sure ain’t putting an X by Romney or Huntsman or any of the other kooks or RINOS. I’m done with that trifling crap.
She may not run, but she won’t be anyone’s VP either. She’s either all in, or not at all.
