The state can go ahead with its plans to cap carbon emissions by California's largest refiners, utilities and other industrial companies, under a ruling by a state appellate court on Friday.

The 1st District Court of Appeals in San Francisco overruled a lower court ruling in May that ordered the California Air Resources Board to halt all work on its cap and trade program. The cap and trade program was set to begin operating in January and ARB officials had been working to develop the program's enforcement rules, oversight procedures and reporting requirements for heavy polluters.

Well, I pulled up stakes in California and moved the family and the business to Texas six years ago. Thanks for the welcome!

My BIL has just retired as a deputy sheriff in Santa Clara County. He’s seriously considering cashing in his retirement savings, taxing the mega-tax hit, and getting the heck out of CA.

Businesses lining up to leave.

Businesses and productive people have been leaving California in droves for a long time now, but this is going to cause a rush for the borders.

I used to try to make sense of what was going on in my home state, but it's gotten so ludicrous now, that I just stare in astonished wonder.

Businesses lining up to leave.

When CA can no longer put off paying for their ridiculous "money pit" programs, those businesses will wind up paying for it anyway via Washington DC.

Eventually even carbon trading in CA will no longer be lucrative.

Well, they could declare carbon to be an illegal, controlled substance. Then a whole underground market worth billions could spring up.

More police, more jails, more lawyers, more courts, more kickbacks, grist for the MSM, the list goes on... Seems like a perfectly logical liberal solution to me.

Once there is no longer business and jobs in Kalifornicate it will be one big mostly illegal immigrant populated happy commune where they grow the food, make the clothing and carry the water for those gifted to rule. Everybody will live in peace surrounded by love with not a harsh word spoken. Another Utopian Eden created by and for the self absorbed liberals.

They'll have to start trading electricity with out of state utilities again. Let's rev up for Enron II.

Just stop sending power into the state from those evil coal fired power plants.
Let them live with "green" wind an solar power since that's what they want.
