Indeed, it is a child’s nature to be selfish, mean, thieving, self-serving, and out of control.
“Nurture” has to train that “nature” out of them in order to have a civilized human being.
I agree with you. I was just trying to make a point. I’m not calling him an oddity. I’m just saying the media was effectively able to dismiss his act of self-defense as the act of a madman.
We see this comment frequently on Free Republic. “My child's schools is the best...etc.” Well...I have a few questions about that:
—Did you ask for certifiable evidence and controlled studies that prove that this school was the best in the region?
—How do you know the high achievement of children is due to the **school**? Maybe it is the **afterschooling** done by the responsible parents that are the cause of the high test scores.
—It is possible that the school has nothing to do with the learning the child acquires. It could be that the only thing the school is doing is sending home a curriculum for the parents to follow, administering exams, and grading assignments. The child may actually not be learning anything at all in the school but is acquiring his knowledge IN THE HOME do to the efforts of his parents and his homework ( afterschooling).
I have asked these questions many many time over the years on Free Republic and not even one teacher or educator has ever provided a link to controlled studies that separate out what is learned IN THE HOME from that which is acquired in the classroom. Unbelievable!
How is it possible that we spend up to a quarter of a million dollars per child to get them from kindergarten to 12th grade and it is UNKNOWN if the school actually teaches the child anything!? It is merely **assumed** that schools impart learning and the **HARD WORK** done IN THE HOME by the parents and the child himself is ignored.
Oh yes they do. They hang out in them all day long on the Internet computers and harass the staff and decent patrons. The vast majority of public library computer users are shiftless minorities. Trust me, I’ve worked in public libraries for years. Even in towns with small percentages of minorities, the vast majority of Internet users are minorities.
“And in a tribe/herd mentality, it is not usually the geniuses who are the leaders. It is the most ruthless ... who are usually only average or below, mentality. Sadly, for some jackasson reason, black yutes seem to have a visceral hatred for an educated, intelligent, conservative (as in God fearing) fellow black person.”
Growing up in Brooklyn NY my interactions with Northeast blacks were routinely very negative, and sometimes even violent. Lets just say that my impression of black people was very bad. Upon moving to the south to attend grad school the blacks I met there were completely different and my opinion changed accordingly. Its the culture, not the genes.

In other words: We are all born with “Original Sin”.
I think Ethiopia qualifies as sub-Saharan. Ge’ez is used there.
And what’s the big deal about contact with ancient Egypt? Its not like our written language doesn’t eventually go all the way back to the Phonecians.
Absolutely. Completely agree. I was born in DC yet raised in the South. Upon reaching adulthood, I was shocked with how black people in the Northeast seem so angry, since I lived in peace and community with black friends in the South. Oddly, the exception to that was in Manhattan, where my southern accent seemed to bring a smile to the black people I met in daily routine. I’m wondering how much negative effect union ‘us against them’ mentality has on Northeastern people in general, not just black people? Have you noticed this sort of herd mentality evoked from union folks?
The 33 round mag makes for longer lasting entertainment!
I wonder if that’s one reason behind the push for “Broadband for ALL”. Shities like Shitcago are pushing free internets for the hoodrats in Sexium Eight housing. Maybe they just want them to stay home and let the rest of us be?
I can’t stick one of those in my pants because I get funny looks ;)
I do have a metric ton of Glock mags, back from when you could get them from police supply warehouses for about $13 a mag. The went up to $35 for a while, but they apear to be down around $22 to $25, which is manageable.
Good point, and there’s a few business opportunities in solving that problem, many more when we reject Marxism, the Marxist Usurper and all its works.
And hold on to your hats because they are trying to do the same thing with the Hispanic culture.
Hispanics, owing to their higher percentage of military service and strong family ties, tended to lean conservative when I was growing up. The democraps have seen the illegal immigration issue as a winning wedge to another 90%+ voting block. The lies and BS that are being spread down here is criminal.
Ethiopia is a coastal nation and long had contact with the Arab and other ancient civilizations. I think it's also mentioned in the Bible.
I'm not sure the Nubian example is accepted as a nation's use of a written language. A few years back Henry Louis Gates had a history series on PBS, and one of his episodes addressed "evidence of a written language" used by the Nubians. If it were an accepted fact that written languages had been developed by black Africans, Gates would not have been sort of suggesting that it was a possibility. It seemed there was a very limited use of writing, but not a well developed written language.
And whats the big deal about contact with ancient Egypt? Its not like our written language doesnt eventually go all the way back to the Phonecians.
Maybe that is the big deal. The use of written language spread far and wide in some directions, but not in others.
Hispanics are becoming attached to the palestinian “right of return” movement.
Is there a Mosin Nagant ping list? :)
Contrary to what you read on FR, good public school systems do exist. They're hard to find, but they're out there.
To heck with "studies". What I found in my selection process is that "studies", also "conventional wisdom", is often incorrect. For instance, locally at least, the conventional wisdom is that 'magnet schools' are the best that there is, and the opinion is supported by widely touted "studies". I found out that the studies are usually commissioned by the school system, lol. You ever meet a consultant tell the one footing the bills something that they didn't want to hear?
The reality? Magnet schools (again, local to where I live) are a catch-all for the dregs of the system. Test scores are uniformly low, and most people don't keep their kids in them for more than a year. Frankly, this came as a real surprise to me, after hearing glowing review after glowing review. Mrs WBill and I needed to re-think our plan.
We considered homeschooling. Additionally, we extensively reseached and visited a large number of public schools. I'm sure that I didn't endear myself to the admins at the school my kids attend, I really grilled them hard at our interview, and I still came away impressed. Mrs WBill volunteers at the school, and I stay involved with any events. I'm sure that everything would be fine, but I'm equally sure that people behave better when they know someone is watching, and interested.
The lesson that I learned is that there's no substitute for personal experience. A reliance on test scores, or studies, or "everyone says this is a great school", is short-sighted.
Bottom line? My kids will get all of the benefits of a solid education at home, *and* get their education rounded out at a good school. Win-win, as far as I'm concerned.
Your post #115 hits the nail on the head. The goal of democrap power is to maintain an Extremely Stupid Constituency that guarantees democrap power.
