They’ll force us in to hybrids yet.

That’s “freedom” in Obamaland. :)

56.2 because 56.1 would not be enough, 56.3 would be too much.

“Can’t wait until they mandate a cure for Cancer.”

That won’t happen, because that would make the social security/medicare problem even worse.

I really don’t see what the problem is with fuel efficiency, with people not working, where do you need to go? The government can deposit your check into your bank account, and you can order almost anything you want on the Internet. Problem Solved!

</s>

The next president, along with a republican congress, needs to completely drain the swamp, purge the entire federal government, eliminate entire departments, and rebuild it from scratch in such a manner that the next single-term liberal Democratic president won’t be able to screw it up too badly in four years.

I’m still trying to figure out where they came up with the 1.6 gallon Toilet. Up to that point, Toilets used about 3 gallons per flush.

Did those idiot Politicians flip a coin or draw straws to come up with that number of gallons?

Then again, I remember that Senator Barbara Boxer and her staff went through a Firearms Catalog to figure out which Rifles were scary looking enough to qualify for the Clinton Assault Weapons Ban List.

Imbeciles, we are ruled (not Governed) by Imbeciles. Too bad the Useful Idiots vote them in every chance they get.

All gov’t vehicles, with the exception of the military, should have to meet the standards they set. Senetors and Congressmen especially should have to ride in whatever they mandate for the peons. The Gao should not be allowed to purchase a car that does not meet the highest standards set by gov’t. If they are our “leaders” then they should lead.

Remember the photos of the wide empty streets in front of the Kremlin with the exception of a couple of Politburo Limousines driving past?

Nakita Khrushchev was right, the Commies won without firing a shot.

Not to mention the EPA is well along the way to forcing utilities to close coal fired power plants.

Let’s see. More demand for electricity plus less net electrical generation capacity equals ....

I'd agree with you if that was an alternating current charger. But with a direct current charger, you're not tied down to the charger for 4-7 hours at a time, and in fact in Japan they already have a DC charging standard, found on the Mitsubishi MiEV and Nissan Leaf: the CHAdeMO connector.

Oh bother. The WSJ is falling for this bullshit balloon? Hussein and Co. are starting distraction fires all over the place to hide their actions elsewhere.

Let’s just cut to the chase. By 2025, Hussein’s politics will be so thoroughly proven wrong, his legacy will be as tarnished as James Buchanan’s. Any subsequent administration, if America survives, will distance itself from his multiple failures.

Either that or the automobile industry will be as vibrant as the men’s powdered wig market is today.

At 56.2 mpg I may buy two cars and strap them together.

Wouldn’t it be easier to mandate $0.19 / gallon gasoline? That would solve all of our problems. Maybe I could finally afford the Z28 porcupine head I always dreamed of.
