Hi Everybody!
(((HUGS)))
Hello Kathy . . . the grapes are growing surprisingly well seeing as we’re still under severe drought conditions. I must be holding my tongue just right . . . ;-)
Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...any more rain?
Does Linda like walking in the rain?
Semper Fi!
Thank you, Lance Corporal Barker.
Semper Fidelis
Don’t move!! d:o)
Lance Corporal Barker was my wife’s sister-in-law’s brother. The local VFW in his home town (Park Ridge, NJ) was renamed in his honor. For years after Barker was killed the Park Ridge annual 4th of July parade included the Marine’s parents as special guests until they assed away.
Sadly, his sister became a pacifist and anti-military.
We thank you for your service, and ultimate sacrifice, for our country.
You having a relaxing Sunday? Are you up to cooking again? Poor Mrs SR while you were out of commission.
A reaction to the grief? I've seen that happen...
Thanks for sharing the additional info. It helps add a human touch to the stories we highlight in the Hall of Heroes!
Welcome to the Canteen, doos0007world. Thank you so much for the additional information.
What a good thing the VFW did to honor LCpl Barker, and his parents. Sad about the sister.
Thank you, Galz, for another wonderful story of a brave and true American hero! God rest his soul!
((((hugs))))
Since Linda is quite feminine, and cares about her appearance and her “aroma”, she will only consent to walk in the rain if I promise to brush her and fluff-dry her afterward. LOL.
