BACHMANN TIES ROMNEY IN LATEST IOWA POLL, SUFFERS THE CONSEQUENCES ON FOX NEWS
Cypress Times ^ | June 26, 2011 | John G. Winder,

Posted on 06/26/2011 2:33:34 PM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

WASHINGTON, DC – A new Iowa poll, which shows the most recent leanings of likely Republican voters in the first-in-the-nation caucus state, has Michele Bachmann in a statistical dead heat with Mitt Romney. This morning Bachmann appeared on Chris Wallace’s Fox News Sunday and was asked “Are you a flake?” Was Wallace simply being a tough journalist, or is Fox News’ bias in favor of Mitt Romney showing?

Would Wallace ask Romney, "Are you a socialist?" in reference to Romneycare.

....Romney is well known to voters because of his 2008 presidential run. Given that he has a higher national name recognition among voters than do any of his announced opponents, it could be argued that if Romney were truly the people’s choice, he would be running away with the race. He isn’t.

And that makes Republican elites, the party faithful, very unhappy. It also seems to chap the backside of Fox News.

...a parade of talking head after talking head discredits the entire field of GOP candidates, and potential candidates from Sarah Palin to Rick Perry.

Fox......put Democratic strategist on the air this morning to assess the potential candidacy of Texas Governor Rick Perry. Basically, she said that she can’t believe we’re actually talking about the possibility of another “Texan” running. Amazing! Throw Rick Perry and the other 27 million of us who live in Texas under the bus.

Mention...Sarah Palin and Fox News gets mighty testy, despite the fact that Palin works for Fox News. Krauthammer has attacked Palin and Karl Rove is completely dismissive of the former Governor of Alaska.

..... The Cypress Times is unabashedly Christian and conservative and we will not be dishonest with our readers by pretending to be something we are not. I wish other media outlets would do the same. They won’t. ....

Chris Wallace made HIMSELF the story today.

Not professional. Not good for Fox.

Chris was a sexist jerk today. Disappointed, in general, at the trend at Fox these days.

All very good questions.

I think Krauthammer doesn’t want his tux gathering dust in the closet.

He’s so right on so much and then it’s like some liberal invasion of sanity snatchers grabs him and moves his lips.

Ms. Bachmann is such a good docile RomneyBOT
that she called Milt “President Romney”
to Chris Wallace who was insulting her.

Has she apologized publicly for launching Rollins
attack on Gov. Palin for Mitt Romney?

I think not.

Very funny...since when do we let 400 people anywhere define what all of America thinks, believes, understands, supports or condemns? This poll is hardly anything to put a lot credit behind, that's for sure.

Regarding Fox News' treatment of any of this type of news. Americans know Fox news has its own agenda and that their agenda is out of alignment with the American people. The reason this is true, and of course it is, is because the agenda of a television news source serves itself and not America nor Americans as a whole. Authentic independent journalism only reside in the distant past, if it ever existed. Americans give far too much credit to written and broadcast yellow journalism. If you don't realize shows like Hannity and Beck are aired mostly to give a false impression of America's conservatives, then you're quite surely a follower and do not think for yourselves.

We either think for ourselves incorporating the wealth of knowledge we have at our mere fingertips or we follow, like lemmings (to use a highly overused cliche), the ideals of a few rich and powerful self-serving entities. The latter choice is of course only good for those blinded and simple-minded fools who could not care any less about the future and state of this nation. We must remember that they, too, were public schooled by the socialists and that they, too, are most concerned about securing their own success for the immediate future and that they, too, have no real morals nor ethics nor God.

Do we let Fox News define what our ideals are? No, of course not. So, why do we care what Fox news approves of or does not approve of? They should be reporting what is important to us...Americans and not what is important to their shortsighted goals. Fox news is more like a socialist reality show, than a news source. Today, we truly have no one news source, but we do have millions of them. This being one the best, FreeRepublic. God bless this site and its owners and operators.

The Tea Party has the best thing in the world going for it. It has not succumbed to the elitists drooling to take it over to capitalize in the ready-made movement to magnify their own pathetic and sef-centered ideals. The Tea Party represents real Americans. I truly believe that. Maybe that is a pipe dream or maybe not. I prefer to believe Americans are wising up to the so-called elite's serious shortcomings and secularist errors. The root of the problem is not going away for 50 years or so. However, I hold faith that Americans are intuitively and innately more adept and preserving our ordered freedom and human dignity than the secularists intended or understand. I pray I am not wrong and that America be forgiven for these past few decades of quite serious and obvious error.

blasater1960:
"Rollins did it on his own accord.""

No he did not. Backstabber Bachmann (Carter protege)
worked with her sweetheart, Mitt Romney, vying to be his VP
and hired Rollins to attack Gov. Palin --- after Gov.Palin
helped her. Disgusting. Absolutely revolting.

To those like me who previously liked Ms. Bachmann
she has fallen to level of Benedict Milt Romney.

Carter protege...sweetheart, Mitt ...vying to be his VP....

All lies. This is what I expect to see from liberals.

To those like me

Fortunately...there are about only 10 of you. Irrelevant. It's a good thing Palin has thicker skin than her supporters....sheesh.

Chris Wallace is the flake! He tries to act like such a gentleman, but no gentleman would say any such thing to a lady.He showed himself to be just another leftist flunky!

A professional journalist asks someone if they are a flake? This is a new low for journalist interviews. I wish she had asked him to define exactly what he thought a flake was. Now that might have been entertaining. I think I’ll pay the sexist card on this one.

I would not trust any poll by the Des Moines RedStar & Sickle. They are so far left, they make pMSNBC look same. #justsayin

Even though I had read about the flake comment on FR, I only just now saw the interview.

I am still in shock. The only program I watch on Fox bites the dust.

I have never liked Chris Wallace, and now I know why. I cannot stand Bill O’Reilly either, whom I consider pompous and extremely rude. FOX used to show both sides to let the viewer decide, but they are getting heavier on the leftist point of view, and all those blonde bimbos have lost them their credibility, IMHO. And television has lost it’s reason to watch unless you are a Dancing With the Stars or American Idol junkie.

I have given up on Fox. They are becoming CNN-Lite.

This is not the first time FOX has dissed conservatives. Wallace only apologized because he got caught—not that he is sorry for what he said.

Hopefully, the Tea Party organizations and the internet will be the new information central for conservatives.

It seems anyone not named Palin is a stalking horse for Romney. Shoot, if Ronald Reagan were alive today and decided to run he'd be labeled a stalking horse for Romney around here. ;-)
