His comment is a demonstration of how split our country is. With the demise of the local newspaper on the doorstep, a source that everyone in the community read in addition to whatever they chose to read, people today ready only the point of view they already believe in and are oblivious even to the existence of other news sources. For instance we live on FR, but the liberals I know have never even heard of it.
