Do Conservatives REALLY want Rick Perry to Run? - Vanity
June 25, 2011 | no dems

Posted on 06/25/2011 6:08:32 PM PDT by no dems

Rick Perry:
1. He has done his best to sell Texas' private land to Foreign interests for the I-35 Corridor project which is sometimes called the NAFTA Super highway.

2. He also forced Texas teenage girls, by "Executive Order" to get the HPV vaccine.

3. He supports the IPPF ( International Planned Parenthood Federation). He received much praise from the Democrats for this action, and was demonized by the states Republicans for that choice.

4. Perry also receive a BIG THANK YOU from the Mexican President Vicente Fox for his "Sanctuary Citys" and giving Illegal Immigrants FREE instate tuition to Texas Universities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?f... .

So, If you want to compare Texas to the nation in the 2012 Election (because Texas is a success story right now), then run a TRUE Conservative who is the “most powerful person in Texas politics”, the Lieutenant Governor, David Dewhurst.

The only reason Rick Perry stays in office is because Texas is a Red State and he never has a strong opponent.

“I have certain minimum standards I expect a candidate to have,’

Apparently you think Obama has those standards, that’s according to your own post.

The only way the wicked bastard wins again will be through massive voter fraud.

And, don't put it past him.

Umm, it was intended as sarcasm.

Perhaps I'm confused, but was this post sarcastic?

Perry shouldn’t run. His negatives are too high and he needs to bone up on policy. He lacks the intellectual capacity seeing that he’s only been a Governor in the recent past. He should probably run for the Senate instead. He would be much better staying out of the race and acting as a king maker.

To paraphrase my dear mama, “If Sarah Palin told you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?”

(When you reply, please have the respect to leave my sweet mama out of it.)

Search my posts — I never said a single bad thing about Sarah.

I like her conservatism, her spunk, but the way the MSM has been attacking her ever since she became McCain’s VP running mate, she has no chance to beat Obama.

Having the “best” conservative be beaten by Obama doesn’t help the country or any of us.

So Sarah is unelectable because sate-controlled media hates her.

Once your guy is nominated, state-controlled media is going to be nice to him?

Sarah has been tested and tempered in fire, and you think that disqualifies her.

Not much in the IQ department, are ya?

Thanks. I feel much better now, you restored my faith in “rational thought”. ;)

Unfortunately, many would say and mean for real, what you said as sarcasm, that’s why it’s sometimes hard to tell the difference. That’s why I always add the sarcasm tag, no matter how obvious I think my sarcasm is.

I predict that Sarah isn’t going to run and she will endorse Perry. What will people do here then — take back their nasty, lying posts about Perry?

No, we'll just be disappointed in Sarah. BTW, what lie did I tell in my Post? YOU KNOW CLARITY, IF YOU'D KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, PEOPLE WOULDN'T KNOW JUST HOW IGNORANT YOU REALLY ARE!

“The Texas Republican, the longest-serving governor in the U.S., “

Wow, I didn't realize he is a career politician.

Can you comment on the powers of Texas Governors? Do they run the state?

Do a search for a "FR Posting Form Enhancer"...it makes posting things like pictures and quotes a lot easier and simpler. Maybe someone can help with a link?

Here’s the problem with the whole Perry fight on FR.

Some are talking about Perry vs. Obama.

In that case, Perry is the clear winner.

Many of us are talking about Perry vs. Other Conservative Candidates.

In that case, Perry is not our preferred winner. He really is Bush II and, I promise you, FReepers will be p*ssed if he becomes our president.

In many ways, they’ll hate him more than Zero because we’ll feel betrayed by our ‘own’.

She quit as gov of Alaska, when the MSM and Dems were attacking her full force. I am not holding that against her, but she would not be able to defeat Obama, while Perry can and would.

I am not interested in any of the slightly betters.

Perry, Newt, and Romney pretty much duplicate the 2008 slate, with new but functionally identical ringers replacing Rudy and McAmnesty.

A large number of the Perry threads are even primarily being posted by old Rudy campaigners that besieged us with Rudy threads in the last cycle. There are reasons for that.

Yes. Right now, since he has not thrown his hat in the ring, Bachmann is my candidate, but if Perry jumps in, I am definitely for him. Of course, I am hoping for a Perry/Bachmann ticket in the end.

Last week at the Rupublican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, both Bachmann and Perry were rock stars.

Everyone keeps saying how we don’t have a good slate of candidates to choose from, but I beg to differ.

Yes, those who can’t defend their positions, resort to personal attacks. Thanks for the demostration.

PS — I was making a general statement, you were the one who took it that I was referring to you, you are the one who must think that the shoe fits...

"That's why I am supporting Governor Rick Perry for re-election.

First of all, he's not running for re-election; he was just re-elected last November. Secondly, He is not the Texan with the economic record; the one with the power in Texas is Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. You sound confused.

If Perry gets the Republican nomination, then I obviously am forced to vote third party or write in again.

Try one of the informational HTML Sandbox threads where people practice their html skills and you can find most anything you need. Use that thread to practice on until you get it correct.

The HTML Sandbox 2011 is here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2650195/posts

Do a search on keyword HTML and you’ll get the others if you need or want to look at them. Goodluck and have fun.
