Do Conservatives REALLY want Rick Perry to Run? - Vanity
June 25, 2011 | no dems

Posted on 06/25/2011 6:08:32 PM PDT by no dems

Rick Perry:
1. He has done his best to sell Texas' private land to Foreign interests for the I-35 Corridor project which is sometimes called the NAFTA Super highway.

2. He also forced Texas teenage girls, by "Executive Order" to get the HPV vaccine.

3. He supports the IPPF ( International Planned Parenthood Federation). He received much praise from the Democrats for this action, and was demonized by the states Republicans for that choice.

4. Perry also receive a BIG THANK YOU from the Mexican President Vicente Fox for his "Sanctuary Citys" and giving Illegal Immigrants FREE instate tuition to Texas Universities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?f... .

So, If you want to compare Texas to the nation in the 2012 Election (because Texas is a success story right now), then run a TRUE Conservative who is the “most powerful person in Texas politics”, the Lieutenant Governor, David Dewhurst.

The only reason Rick Perry stays in office is because Texas is a Red State and he never has a strong opponent.

I got bashed over and over for posting some of the same things about Perry elsewhere.

Perry has been the douche running against turd sandwiches in every re-election he has had. He has been very lucky no real conservative ran against him.

Perry blows, but blows less than Obama. If it came down to Perry and Obama I'd hold my nose again for Perry. But Perry will not run unless it is a fairly easy win for him. He is lazy and somewhat stupid. But, he excels at saying conservative things and having them written for him (his book) and he looks "presidential" while doing so. Perry will not make a move until Palin does.

Perry is a UBER-RINO. That is without question. And once again he has called ANOTHER unnecessary special session. Why he has had so many of them over the years does not make much sense. Other than he gets to set the agenda. It is one of the few times Texas govs have real power. Dewhurst is the guy with the real day-to-day power. Don't get me started on that asswipe....

I predict that Sarah isn’t going to run and she will endorse Perry. What will people do here then — take back their nasty, lying posts about Perry?

No. He's a RINO.

I hate to break the news to you, but Perry is to the right of the Republican Party. The Republican party is pushing Romney and they hate the tea party as much as the democrats hate it.

Romney is the quintessential Republican.

So if Perry is running to the right of Romney, then we should all be glad Perry is a RINO.

Sarah Palin is a RINO too.

So is Bachmann and every other conservative candidate.

So am I.

Yep, won’t matter who you like or vote for.
The writing’s on the wall.

Obama will win because I truely believe he is the Antichrist.

Look how so many people cover for him. They’re immoral sheep.

If he wins, I’ll tend to agree with you. Until then, he’s just a wicked bastard and an enabler for the antichrist to come on the scene.

WHATEVER!!! Politics is a down-and-dirty, hard ball sport. People are hungry as hell for someone to show some 'nads; we're sick of losers like the John McCain "Mr. Nice Guy"-types. T-Paw went down in the polls when he didn't have the guts to stand up to Romney in the Debate. After popping off like a stud on Sunday morning TV, he pissed his pants like a little girl standing 10 feet away from Romney the next night.

Allow me to quote a famous baseball manager of the past: "Nice guys finish Seventh(last)". And, when what I posted starts to bite Perry in the butt after Labor Day 2012, if he does get the GOP nomination, you can sit on you a** and read your facts sheets then. You have pi**ed me off. Guess you don't believe what anyone tells you about Obama either do you?

“As a Conservative Texan, I think Perry would be no better than Obama.”

You sound like those leftist Dems calling into Rush’s show, claiming to be a lifelong Republican, who just couldn’t bring himself to vote for Perry, because Obama is better.

I have always thought these people who seem to expect their choice to be 100% in agreement with them, are out of touch with reality.

I have been known to change my mind. I think that was sometime in the mid-eighties...or early nineties. LOL!

“My rule of thumb.

If I agree with any candidate on every issue 100% of the time, someone is lying. Either the candidate is lying to me or I’m lying to myself.”

Bravo! Someone with intelligence and sense.

He's got the best economic record of any Republican candidate run on and no one candidate has more executive experience.

Plus, Sarah Palin has heaped praise upon his conservative credentials:

"That's why I am supporting Governor Rick Perry for re-election. He does what is right regardless of whether it is popular. He walks the walk of a true conservative. And he sticks to his guns – and you know how I feel about guns!" ..... Sarah Palin

If Perry is what it ends up taking to beat Romney and Obama, he's perfectly acceptable to me.

I predict that Sarah isn’t going to run and she will endorse Perry.

If she doesn't run then that would be the ideal scenario. We need to congeal around a conservative or even semi-conservative candidate to head off a Romney landslide.

Romney (and the Republican establishment) are all hoping that the conservatives divide their votes so that Romney can win the nomination with 30% of the vote of the party members.

Sarah is in the position of kingmaker. If she puts her efforts into one candidate, that candidate will most likely win the nomination.

If Perry doesn't run, then I suspect that Sarah will. In the end the nomination is going to go to Palin, Perry or Romney. Nobody else really is in the running.

So just who do YOU support anyway? What announced candidate is BETTER than Perry?

Apparently you're not a Texan who has had to live under Governor Lightweight for 10 years. But, to answer your question, let me name more than one: Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, and Rick Santorum. AND REMEMBER, I suggested TX LT. Gov. David Dewhurst.

I don’t settle. I have certain minimum standards I expect a candidate to have, and Perry doesn’t have them. Honesty for one... illegal immigration policy is another.

I’ve been accused of a lot in my life, acting like a dem is a new one...

Rational Thought may think he/she is rational, maybe actually is, but he/she is surely not even moderately well informed — i.e. quite ignorant on the facts. Basing “rational thought” on falsehoods, does not generate truth.

RT says “he’s only been a Governor in the recent past. “

The FACT is:

“The Texas Republican, the longest-serving governor in the U.S., “

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/167323-texas-delegation-pushes-perry-to-run-for-president

“Elected Lieutenant Governor of Texas in 1998, he assumed office as governor in December 2000 when Governor George W. Bush resigned to become President of the United States. Perry was elected to full terms in 2002, 2006 and 2010, an unprecedented feat in Texas political history.”

First, I take back NOTHING that I say about Perry. NOTHING.

Second, I endorse Palin because she is the candidate that agrees the most with ME. I do NOT follow Sarah Palin as my Lord and Savior. If she has a policy position that I believe is wrong, I will hand her her butt just like I do any other politician.

I like Sarah Palin, but she doesn't tell this Texan how to think or how to vote. If SP chooses not to run and endorses in Perry in her stead, I will find another candidate to support.

Only if you take back your nasty, lying posts about Palin.

And grovel in the dirt when she does declare.

Why should she declare now? It's to her advantage to delay it as long as possible.

Should she declare to make it "fair" for your guy?

If he needs Sarah's permission, he must not be much of a candidate.
