If she doesn't run then that would be the ideal scenario. We need to congeal around a conservative or even semi-conservative candidate to head off a Romney landslide.
Romney (and the Republican establishment) are all hoping that the conservatives divide their votes so that Romney can win the nomination with 30% of the vote of the party members.
Sarah is in the position of kingmaker. If she puts her efforts into one candidate, that candidate will most likely win the nomination.
If Perry doesn't run, then I suspect that Sarah will. In the end the nomination is going to go to Palin, Perry or Romney. Nobody else really is in the running.
Here’s the problem with the whole Perry fight on FR.
Some are talking about Perry vs. Obama.
In that case, Perry is the clear winner.
Many of us are talking about Perry vs. Other Conservative Candidates.
In that case, Perry is not our preferred winner. He really is Bush II and, I promise you, FReepers will be p*ssed if he becomes our president.
In many ways, they’ll hate him more than Zero because we’ll feel betrayed by our ‘own’.
