Mayor Tom Richards released a statement Wednesday afternoon, which says he has seen the video of Emily Good's arrest last month. Good was arrested while she was videotaping police conducting a traffic stop in front of her home.
The video has been posted on YouTube.
Good was charged with obstruction of governmental administration.

Funny. The cops can videotape citizens, with red light cameras and cop car cameras, all day. But let one of them be videotaped and suddenly it’s “obstruction.”
I can understand the LEO statement that he didn't feel safe with someone behind him given these type of situations.
My sympathy ends there when he proceeds to act like a fascist jerk and arrest the woman for not snapping to his attention and immediately obeying his orders. His buddy had the perp from the traffic stop already under arrest and in the car. I have no idea why the perp was stopped, but the fact that he was released to concentrate on what sounds like a petite woman videotaping indicates the charge probably wasn't all that serious.
There are obviously incomplete facts shown on the videotape. I'd have to know them before passing a final judgment on the cops. But based on the videotape alone, they were clearly over the top.
LOL...How does he know when she started taping?!?!?
We don't know what SHE said to the Police BEFORE she started taping. It wasn't "Have a nice day" or the police wouldn't have said, "Your comment concerns me and I'm not comfortable having you stand behind me".
She was looking for trouble. And found it!
Works for me.
I find it much easier to return fire on those who don’t live in my city, state or country ;)
the words “I Work for Andrew Brietbart” should help you out in this situation
.
Remember always TWO or more cameras. One they see and at least one more they don't.
My entire property is covered with cameras and are on battery backup power supplies with a nice 6 hour (or more) battery time.
Sucker cameras for everyone to see and many hidden cameras to catch the perps after they think they have disabled my system.
I am in a downtown area and by installing these cameras we have put four thieves in jail and crime in our immediate vicinity is down to nil. Of course the cops don't do traffic stops anywhere near our building now either heheheh.
That is an excellent point. No doubt the police have been filmed by surveillance cameras thousands of times. They better get to work arresting all those obstructers.
Too many cops with too much time on their hands. A simple traffic stop sometumes acts like a magnet and the scene becomes cluttered with five or six patrol cars!
Most cops, not all, are little punks that got picked on and
beat up in their younger years and became cops to get back
at the world. Their abuse of the law and the citizens that
they are supposed to protect has led to governments passing
laws restricting or circumventing the rights of the citizens
to protect these punks and their administrations that
depend on the loot. When a punk cop tells you what to do, you
better do it or you may end up in jail or dead.
Fixed that for you. It is only from the implication made by the cop that we infer she said anything.
The other explanation is that cop is trying to contaminate the evidence.
B.S. I looked at the entire tape. It is my belief the cop blatantly lied. There is NO proof this lady was involved with other incidents.
The arrogant attitude of that POS cop was one of an overlord. That arrogant, sadistic, lying cop was clearly abusing a citizen. That arrogant cop should be sued and fired.
LEO is quickly becoming sadistic in its treatment of citizens. The time will come when there will be real blow back. I will boldly be on the side of the citizens.
There is absolutely NO excuse for LEO to be disrespectful to the public.
If the charge isn’t dropped, some prosecutor will get her indicted by a grand jury, and the chance of her getting convicted on this bogus charge is is very good. Welcome to the police state. She was intimidating and terrorizing those weakling cops.
Not. A police officer when making an arrest does not want anybody behind him, in that close of proximity to him. Ask any one.

Cops have a tough, dirty, dangerous job, especially in a town like Rochester. But they were not “pressed into service” by anyone. It is their choice to be cops and those who become too arrogant and too dismissive of the rights of the “little people” should be removed from duty.

Hold on.... DID YOU JUST QUESTION ME? DID YOU JUST IMPLY I WAS WRONG???!?
Oh, sorry about your broken leg, but you were "resisting".
