Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Wednesday knocked down media reports that her nationwide bus tour has come to an end after completing only its first leg.

Palin, a potential presidential candidate, sought to put an end to speculation that her "One Nation" tour is over. The talk was sparked by a RealClearPolitics report said that it's going on hiatus. Other news organizations reported that the tour is coming to an end.

"I did? Hmm, glad I have media to let me know my plans.

All the others jump in early, they get their "15-minutes" and then the in-fighting starts...Palin waits in the wings until just the right moments, and as all the other are immersed in defending their records and raising more money, in come Sarah, all fresh and full of vim and vigor, with a full coffer of funds, enjoying the limelight and media attention as the "new kid".

By this time she has watched and listened to all the other candidates and picked up on their strengths and weaknesses, heard their arguments and defenses, and knows just where to insert the sword for the coup de gras.

Like I said before, I would hate to play poker with that woman...she is shrewd.

This is it exactly. This is what everyone saying "Dur hur hur, she needs to announce!" misses time and again. By waiting, she only helps herself. The general election is over a year out - she has plenty of time.

Besides that, I admire anyone not willing to play the game of announcing earlier and earlier every election cycle.

“When is salmon season over in Alaska?”

Depends on which of the 5 salmon species you are asking about and what part of the several thousand mile coast line your talking about and if you are asking about commercial or private fishing.

Typically, if there is at least 4 hours of day light, you can fish somewhere.

From the Hill's comment section:
How give a dam about this nut. She is not and never was irrelvant. I bet thiswoman is going to try to jump in the race after all the debates are over becasue she is know she is too stupid to debate and do not want to be seen on national TV.
PDS must impair one's grammatical abilities.

She is not and never was irrelvant.

By typoing, they actually got something right. Sarah Palin will never be irrelevant, save when she chooses to be.

My husband is a Civil War buff. He is continuously reading one book or another by various chroniclers. I think that he wants to make our next excursion to Virginia.

If it hadn't been for a trip through Pennsylvania when I was fourteen, I would never have been so passionate about Civil War history.

I've always been a huge Civil War buff. The town I live in (Elizabethtown) was captured by Confederate General John Hunt Morgan during his Christmas Raid, plus Confederate Brigadier General Benjamin Helm, who was killed at Chickamauga, was from here and is buried less than a mile from my home.

One of the reasons I want to visit South Mountain is my great-great-great uncle, Private Stephen Treadwell of the 16th Georgia Infantry, was mortally wounded at the Battle of Crampton's Gap, one of the three battles for South Mountain.

Reagan was savaged well before 1980 as the man who would start WWIII if he became President

You speak true. Hollywood Communists like Lorne Greene were campaigning against him in TV commercials as a menace when he was running for governor of California. (This was revenge for Reagan having kicked the Reds out of the Screen Actors' Guild when he was its president.)

Much later in 1976—four years before Reagan was first nominated for President in 1980—guitar Commies in my college dorm were making up songs against Reagan. The one that sticks in my mind was called "Ronnie Reggae," a rhythmical number with soulful minor chords that united various Soviet conceits in one neat package:

"Take the money from the poor,

Send it down to Salvador,

Oh-o, Ronnie Reggae!

Oh-o, Ronnie Reggae! . . ."

"The town I live in (Elizabethtown) was captured by Confederate General John Hunt Morgan during his Christmas Raid..."

The cannon ball from his raid that's stuck in the old courthouse there used to make me laugh every time I saw it.

MSM toned down the emails as they were helping Palin. Now it is the same with her Restore America tour. MSM finally figured out they were giving her good press. Now their strategy is to convince the Sheeple there is no tour and it ends the risk they continue to help her by publicising her stops.

MSM = evil. Palin plays them like a Stradavarius. Gosh, she has incredible political instincts.

That’s so interesting. We have some amazing Revolutionary War sites and artifacts here, which I find fascinating. The history of our country is worth learning about and valuing.

Reagan almost won the nomination in ‘76 and had huge grassroot support when he ran in ‘80. He was generaly the front-runner in the GOP primaries. So the idea that SP has the same obstacles as Reagan is just wrong. Moreover, Reagan had two full terms as CA Governor and decades of speeches and writings to back up his substantce.

True all those types who that hated Reagan then, hate SP now; but Reagan was able to overcome attacks because he had been able to define himself to the majority of American for the most part. SP didn’t have that luxuory.

“Are you “concerned” ?”

More like realistic. I think it’s wishful thinking to believe think that SP can undo 3 years of relentless attacks from this October to next November.

I’d like to see SP as president, then again I’d just as soon see MB be president. Just as long as a conservative wins.
