According to the Radiance Foundation, abortion and slavery have a lot more in common than you might have thought. And to make sure you see the link between the two, the Alpharetta-based foundation has started a campaign to prop up nearly 50 billboards across metro Atlanta.
The billboards feature such slogans as "The 13th Amendment Freed us. Abortion Enslaved Us" and "Abortion makes three-fifths human seem overly generous." The billboards popped up across metro Atlanta on Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
The billboards are part of a campaign targeted at persuading black women from resorting to abortions. Black women account for 30 percent of abortions but are only 12 percent of the population.
The campaign has raised many eyebrows from organizations like the NAACP who told the Huffington Post that likening slavery to abortion is slightly offensive:
"Comparing abortion to slavery certainly raises major concerns," Hilary Shelton, director of the Washington bureau of the NAACP, told HuffPost in an interview. "Women are not forced to have abortions the way they were in servitude. Slavery was about not having the right to make any decisions. Women were actually bred to produce children for the purposes of profit. This is so far removed from that, that if it weren't such a serious issue, it would almost be laughable." The foundation also launched other similar campaigns across the country in the past to target black women from contributing to the so called abortion "epidemic."
"God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever."-- Thomas Jefferson
Oh my! So unPC. How evere do you do it? /s

Perhaps Tom Jefferson is not the ideal “go-to-guy” for this particular thread?
“Margaret Sanger wanted to exterminate the lesser races’”
Who knew she was a self hating, suicidal, Liberal?
>>Even that logic falls short; you can’t elect to amputate an otherwise healthy limb, for instance. <<
Actually you CAN:

They’re both “Peculiar Institutions” to say the least.
Thank you, MrB. Actually, one can define that "class of people" even more precisely by specifying that it is one gender within the "born" class which decides the fate of the unborn souls who are deprived of life and the liberty to enjoy it. Why has there been no outcry from the Left concerning this "gender bias"?
Thanks, too, to EternalVigilance for restating the very foundation of our Constitution's protections for liberty, Thomas Jefferson's capsulization of the founding premise, as contained in the Declaration of Independence:
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them."
Jefferson's final clause outlines the summary judgment of what happens when the unborn are denied their life and liberty.

Oh, wait, she’s talking about the *slaves* themselves? She’s right, they had no rights.
And abortion isn’t mandatiry. Women can decide not to kill their babies.
But the baby has no more rights than the slave did.
That idiot with the NAACP is so obtuse that she can’t even fathom that the equivalent of the slaves in the analogy could possibly be the unborn babies getting slaughtered as opposed to the abortion-procuring women worshipping their god of convenience.
People who believe that abortion should be legal aren’t “pro-choice,” they are “pro-abortion,” period. To claim otherwise is to believe that someone who favored legal slavery wasn’t “pro-slavery,” but merely “pro-choice,” since the master was given the choice of whether or not to enslave another human being.
Oh, and the Constitution’s “Three-Fifths Clause” wasn’t a pro-slavery clause, it was actually an incentive for states to free the slaves, since states would get less congressional representation if they had slavery. Slave states wanted to count slaves as one full person, not 3/5ths of one, so that they could have more representation in Congress, but free states insisted on there being a penalty for slavery.
Abortion is so sacred to the lefties and feminists because it allows women to, bluntly, “[fornicate] like a man.”
They’re both fundamental offenses against human life. One is just more permanent than the other.
Hilary Shelton, director of the Washington bureau of the NAACP, has the heart of a slave master. The masses are kept in line by encouraging them to slaughter their unborn for convenience. This allows unfettered promiscuity for children whose abortions are not reported as caused by rape. Conservative principles would restrict those who prefer to be unfettered by morality.
It is the entire population that is treated as less than human by abortionists and elitists. Any law that encourages the death of another at the hands of an inconvenienced party is a law that promotes sub human behavior. That is the nature and foundation of slavery.
And there is indeed an element of truth in this. Especially so for the early days of slavery and when it was a local issue.
But the intercontinental slave trades to the New World and the Middle East caused tribal warfare as tribes competed for merchandise and market share. Or, more accurately, their rulers did.
Oh my gosh. That is brutal but hopefully effective.
Seriously, black women. Choice begins when you pull down your panties. Do NOT LET eugenicist Margaret Sanger have the last laugh. Your babies are wanted even if you can't keep them. Be more careful no matter WHAT your friends are doing. And let your babies live.
That presumes a belief in God, or in a Creator, and that human kind is special in some way.
The left/communists/atheists/Satan have spent all of creation’s time trying to deny or “disprove” this premise.
