To the tiny students at this dance studio, the moves are totally innocent.
In fact, they are being instructed in the sleazy art of pole dancing. And their age? As young as three. Child protection groups yesterday labelled these images from the classes deeply disturbing.
Parents pay £5 an hour for their daughters to learn pole dancing at the Little Spinners classes. Instructor Carly Wilford insists it helps youngsters keep fit and boosts their self-esteem.
But charity Kidscape warned it was another indication of the growing sexualisation of children, which has prompted Government-backed proposals to protect their innocence.
Up to eight girls attend the weekly classes at the Make Me Fabulous dance studio in Northampton.

Another fine example of how the UK is leading the West into the abyss of destruction!
I read this and thought, “you are kidding me”. Sadly, you aren’t. This is just too disturbing for me to even comment on.
In the Dark Ages, parents used to sell their kids to slavers or into prostitution. 40 years of assaults on “Western Civilization” have pushed us back toward Dark Ages barbarism so things like this are now acceptable again.
Posted a long time back, and what difference does the direction of the poll make.
I’ve done my share of supporting single moms, but this is just wrong.
Why not teach them sexual intercourse? Topless bars are apparently are the new “kid playground”.
While I think that 3 may be young why do we put this label on pole dancing?
I will admit that I have never been to a strip club so maybe I don’t know what goes on there. I have a teenager who attends a fitness center that teaches Arial silks, Dance hoop, Dance trapeze, and the dreaded pole dancing. I just tell her that she is only allowed to do that for her husband. (when she gets one) She really wants to perform in a circus so I support her.
I think that over reacting to make this such a taboo will make it that much more attractive to young minds.
OH, flame away.
Do they teach the other kids how to tip a dollar if they like the performance?
That being said, my secretary's daughter the has already been in prison just got busted for B&E. She was not able to get a job before, maybe if she learned pole dancing she could provide for herself (she's 22 and a single mom).
“I have never been to a strip club...”
Uh, you’re not saying that a three year old grinding and gyrating is okay, right? How about picking up a coin with an anatomical part? I think you may be confusing dancing with “exotic dancing”.
Nothing wrong with Pole Dancing.
I think that being too prudish about sex causes more problems than it prevents. With the proper support from your family these things are not an issue.
I don’t plan to leave my wife anytime soon and I love all 8 of my children. If my wife was fit enough to do pole dancing things would be that much better. :)
LOL, I totally agree, since I am proud and Polish.
Wow, angry much???
People find out ways to degrade themselves no matter what laws or social norms are in place.
I said in my opening post that 3 might be a bit young but we will just forget about that.
I don’t appreciate the government OR others telling people what is necessarily appropriate. I guess that I am libertarian in that way. Yes there are laws that should be in place to prevent abuse of children.
Believe it or not I discuss this stuff openly with my daughter. I explain that when this is done in public it triggers mens minds in ways you would not understand. I suppose that we have a special relationship with our kids that others do not.
Here’s to freedom and the ability to raise upstanding children with a mind toward freedom. (yeah its a bit more difficult but way worth the effort)
However, if I had a 14 year old girl that refused to be socially acceptable, I may have her taught pole dancing just so she could survive when I kicked her a$$ out of the house at 18.
I suppose that we are just coming from different sides and that will have to be that. :)
