Washington (CNN) -- Kenneth Melson, acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, is expected to resign under pressure, perhaps in the next day or two, in the wake of the ongoing controversy over Operation Fast and Furious, two senior federal law enforcement sources said Monday.

Nah——there is nothing legal about any part of it. The basic idea was illegal and corrupt. The guy who thot it up is corrupt because he (whoever) was looking for a way to skirt a whole bunch of laws to make the gun bidness look bad. If they wanted to actually trace guns they should have been putting trackers in the ones sold to Mexican public agencies-——that’s always been the biggest part of the Mexican gun issue.
Ask Hillary, probably... Remember the dems traveled there and kissed Castro’s butt?
Melson——another blowhard promoted to his level of incompetence. Got himself a big fat “F “ on his last test.
Will it matter? Will the “data” still be used?
The same crowd ~
That is close to my first thought. Will Melson be protected from testifying and potential charges against him?
Funny that the comments under this threads article said it was just a botched operation Obama is so great for cleaning it up blah blah blah and politico’s headline calls it ‘botched’

Reading his resume it looks like the dude thinking of retiring should probably stay, and the ones that actually decided this program was a good idea should resign. We can all guess who they are....

Barack Obama the CIC (Cop killer In Chief)
They are whizzing in the wind with that line of malarkey. It won't fly when this heats up to a rolling boil.
More heads than one need to roll all the way up the Socialist chain to the top Socialist.
hallaquila is full of it. The policy of “walking” guns across the border began under Fast and Furious not Project Gunwalker. When this gets to the stage of testimony under oath that finger pointing at Pres. Bush will wither and die on the vine. It doesn’t matter anyway. 0bungles is the one in the Oval Office now and for the last two years. Melson and Holder are all his.
WHAT did he know and WHEN did he know it? I-Call-On-President-Obama-To-Appoint-A-Special-Prosecutor-To-Investigate-These-Allegations.
It’s also a message that states “don’t go after my guys because if you get’em, you’ll just get somebody worse as a replacement.”
Time for a Clinton reaction moment; Mr. Melton’s life isn’t worth squat now so Issa better step it up.
Friday night, we were watching a local baseball game on TV and they played highlights of the last three Presidents throwing out the first pitch at the start of the baseball season. Clinton was lame and demonstrated that he has very little athletic ability, George W. Bush threw a strike at about 60-65 mph, and the Irish-Kenyan-Hawaiian threw it (if you can call it that!) so far outside and high that the catcher had to just let it go to the backstop. I replayed it about five times and could not stop laughing.
If throwing out the first pitch is any indication, Obama is clearly the most effeminate President in our 235 year-old history.
