U.S. abuse of detainees was routine at Afghanistan bases (Lazy McClatchy reporter works for enemy)
McClatchy News Service ^ | Monday, June 16, 2008 | Tom Lasseter

Posted on 06/17/2011 11:36:12 PM PDT by presidio9

American soldiers herded the detainees into holding pens of razor-sharp concertina wire, as if they were corralling livestock.

The guards kicked, kneed and punched many of the men until they collapsed in pain. U.S. troops shackled and dragged other detainees to small isolation rooms, then hung them by their wrists from chains dangling from the wire mesh ceiling.

I am giving Mr. Lasseter the benefit of the doubt in calling him lazy. He is taking the word of our enemies and their allies and reporting it as fact in a way that gives them aid, comfort and recruiting benefits. Tom is apparently unaware that there were tens (perhaps hundreds) of thousands of combatants and terrorists "with little or no connection to al Qaida" who were (and are) actively attacking the United States Armed Forces as a convenient surrogate to innocent civilians, who remain their primary targets. They wear no uniforms because they are cowards, and their only sworn allegiance was to a religious movement that sought world domination. They have been shown to manipulate the press through outright lies more frequently than Anthony Weiner.

My favorite outrage:

The most violent of the major U.S. detention centers, the McClatchy investigation found, was Bagram, an old Soviet airstrip about 30 miles outside Kabul. The worst period at Bagram was the seven months from the summer of 2002 to spring of 2003, when interrogators there used techniques that when repeated later at Abu Ghraib led to wholesale abuses.

New detainees were shoved to the floor of a cavernous warehouse, a former Soviet aircraft machine shop that stayed dim all day, and kept in pens where they weren't allowed to speak or look at guards.

Mr. Lassiter hasn't studied his history of the War on Terror. The directives at Bagram were in response to the prisoner uprising at Mazzar-e-Sharif forters, aided in part by American traitor John Walker-Lindh. There the unarmed prisoners overpowered their captors, ignoring their own horrific casualties, ripping some American throats out with their teeth. The dead included Johnny "Mike" Spann, the first American killed in Afghanistan. His father remarked of Lindh (who was wounded in the uprising) “Michael would have given his own life getting Walker out of that place if only Walker had told him he was an American and what was going to happen.”

Fantastic. I pay my taxes so this scumbags suffer til the end. Lasseter should know this is a prison. If this libtard is so humane, let’s use his house and bedroom and let him “treat” them. Of course, liberals are wusses and he’ll be their dog eventually.

Who the heck told the maggots at McClatchy they needed to “investigate” to see if those mean old Americans were mistreating their Muzzie terrorist pals anyway? This jackass must be looking for a Pulitizer or something.

Every time I saw an American news crew in Iraq I had a sudden urge/compulsion to go condition 1 on their asses. I wouldn’t piss on their heads if their hair was on fire.

The GOP doesn't really care if terrorists are manhandled a bit, regardless of who is President.

If Bush were Prez, and this came out, Obama would be killing him about it. Since Obummer is Prez, it's no biggie to anyone.

It’s all deliberate and being done by traitors. They’re working hand in glove with our enemies.

The claim that “I was beaten” is in their playbook.
Claim brutality, etc.

The AQ handbook instructs them to claim abuse regardless of the trutfulness of the charge. Taqiyya rules.

Compared this “There the unarmed prisoners overpowered their captors, ignoring their own horrific casualties, ripping some American throats out with their teeth,” with “razor sharp concertina wire”. Nope, not registering on my give-a-damn meter.

And this “journalist” A$$hole runs with it. Not a shred of evidence, just whinning from stinking savages.

I sincerely hope this treasonous bastard is the future victim of muslim terrorism.
