Chris Matthews Gushes On Real Time:“Real” Michele Bachmann Is “My Hero"..She’s Going All The Way

Chris Matthews stopped by Real Time with Bill Maher tonight to serve on the show’s panel, and he really likes Michele Bachmann. Her name came up and Matthews immediately referred to her as “my hero,” predicted she’d beat Mitt Romney in the New Hampshire primary, and praised her for being “real.” This is probably where we make a “thrill up my leg” reference.

Fellow panelist Ross Douthat strongly disagreed on the New Hapshire point, but Matthews wasn’t getting swayed. He talked about how Bachmann “stands for something.”

Folks, this is about ratings, nothing more.

MSNBC doing things for ratings? Have you seen their programming and their ratings?

true. ...like her implying she was voluntarily giving up her seat, to run. when it’s simply state law. ...it seems misleading at best. (but i can easily see Rollins doing this.)
...i did like her before, as did you.
so, i prefer to give her the benefit of the doubt, and blame Rollins instead, for the very very bad advice he’s giving her.

(even Palin got bad advice from her neocon advisers. like when she initially supported the attack on Libya. but, she quickly realized it, and got RID of them!!! and replaced them with that great guy from the Hoover institute(?) )

As Rush Limbaugh always says, “You can always tell who liberals fear most. They're the ones they constantly attack.

The reality is that sometimes you are constantly attacked because you are an extremely easy target. Liberal love to get the most bang for the least effort.

Dan "Low-hanging Fruit" Quayle

That doesn't appear to be Michele Bachmann. You don't suppose these unlikely Bachmann supporters have an agenda, do you?

Of course they have an agenda. They are playing mind games with the GOP primary voters trying to get them to nominate the weakest GOP candidate possible.

Chris Matthews wants the GOP primary voters to vote for an Affirmative Action candidate that has only been in Congress since January of 2007. If a white male had that resume, he would be laughed off the stage.

Howard Dean wants the GOP primary voters to vote for a candidate ("Because Sarah will win!") that 65% of all voters have stated that they will "definitely NOT" vote for.

Howard Dean: Palin could beat Obama in 2012

Given many of her past statements and her embarrassing lack of the Revolutionary War knowledge, etc., are you saying Michele Bachmann isn’t an “easy target?”

Hard to remember, but yes, there once was a time when Matthews was not a mindless, one-dimensional lefty jerkwad.

Back in the 90's, I remember hearing Chris Matthews filling in for Rush Limbaugh on at least one occasion. This was around the time that James Earl Jones did the bumper break voiceovers for EIB. Any other oldsters remember that?

From the Daily Caller a few days ago, here's an article titled: Has Chris Matthews Lost His Mind?.

Had you read the entire Howard Dean interview rather than relying on excerpts from Hot Air, which is never a very smart thing to do, you would realize that Dean's comment about Palin was a very small part of his remarks.

The main thrust of Dean's remarks was to warn Obama and the Democrats that they will be in very serious trouble if they don't start working to fix the economy and that, if they don't, anyone the GOP puts up can beat Obama.

Chris might have the hots for Michele, but beware. All this new found enthusiasm for all the Tea Party contenders is just part of the plan to divide the opposition to the establishment choice. The more the merrier, as far as Romney is concerned. It’s also a game to dissuade Palin from getting into the show. MSM sleazebags are scum. Never believe anything they say. That said, Michele would make a great president.

Oh, well, another candidate bites the dust.

If the likes of Chrissy Mathews, the original Bomb-Thrower, is praising you, then there is something really wrong with you.

Until the Ed Rollins episode, and her refusal to attack the socialism inherent in RomneyCare, Michelle was my 2nd or 3rd choice.

No longer.

She is not fit to lead.

The reality is that sometimes you are constantly attacked because you are an extremely easy target. Liberal love to get the most bang for the least effort.

You a very skewed sense of reality if you are trying to equate what Quayle when through with the unmitigated hell that Governor Palin and her family have been put through.

You also leave out many inconvienent facts to your position, the greatest of which, is that Quayle did not fight back, Sarah Palin has refused to lay down and die, instead, she keeps fighting back getting stronger and stronger.

My guess is that the MSM wants Bachmann around, for a while longer. That way they can dump all over Sarah Palin, and “prove” that they're not misogynistic, because of the easy ride they're giving to Bachmann.

The libs want anyone to win except Romney because they think Romney will beat their messiah obama. Never trust a liberal.

I'm assuming that was a parody.

If not, please do not give up your day job because your Political Analysis and obersvation skills are sorely lacking.

The press, the DNC, and the GOP Elites have all treated Myth Romney with kid gloves.

The Left-Wing so-called Main-Stream Press and the DNC because, as is apparent to anyone with the ability to observe and analyze and with any knowledge of Myth Romney, his moderate positions on issues near and dear to conservatives, and his flip-flopping make him the easiest candidate to beat for any Democrat candidate.

He is a sure loser.

The GOP Elite like him the best, because he is a Globalist, Big, Government, Open-Borders equivocator. He will do what they say.

Being a good President means surrounding yourself with good people. Michele Bachmann has unusually high turnover in her staff. She is half way through her fifth year in Congress and she is on her sixth Chief of Staff:

Either she is extremely difficult to work for or she is a lousy judge of talent. Ed Rollins wasn't a wise choice IMHO.

“The libs want anyone to win except Romney because they think Romney will beat their messiah obama. Never trust a liberal.”

Correct. That’s why I’d never trust Romney or you.

Romney is a pathetic RINO; a complete fake, pro-abortion, pro-global warming freakshow.

Romney and Huntsman need to go run in their Democratic primary where they belong.

Yes, and that is why I am always amazed by how many FReepers actually watch that show! Fact is, even when you are stuck on the ratings bottom, you are concerned about the ratings because you are still doing it to make money.
