Update: Muslim protesters are attempting to gain access to the ballroom to disrupt Herman Cain’s speech. They are currently at the time of this posting at the esclators that lead to the ballroom where Cain will speak.

(This included blogger Robert Stacey McCain of The Other McCain blog, who was involved in spreading the news of Weinergate early on. He told me HE LOVES it when he gets linked on FR, because that results in a LOT of traffic.

He also said that his post last night, that Sarah Palin would decide next week, was based on a vendor who hopes to supply her campaign: that if she decides to run, she'll have to tell the vendors first, and it won't be a secret for long. I thought that was very insightful of him.

Then there was a 20-minute talk by Minnesota's own Gov. Pawlenty (T-Paw), who said all the right things financially but who does not come across as a strong leader.

Virginia Attorney General Kecn Cuccinelli. This guy needs to be the US Attorney General.

He pointed out that Obamacare is essentially a Liberty Issue, not a Health Issue, and pointed at the decision of Judge Roger Vinson as a good synopsis.

The thing is, back in the Revolutionary War days, the Solicitor General of England was meeting with Parliament concerning the colonists' boycott of English goods in response to the Stamp Act and the Intolerable Acts. They asked him, if such a boycott was Treason, and he answered that it walked right up to the line but did not cross it.

He said were facing the opposite direction today: back in Revolutionary War days, the colonists were subjects of a King, yet not even the King had the power to command his subjects what to buy. But the current crop of Democrats thinks they have the right to order us in a way even a KING isn't allowed to!

Congressman Thaddeus McCotter -- a fantastic, inspiring, measured speaker, even without a teleprompter. There's some FReeper who keeps on saying they want McCotter for President. Now I know what they're talking about!

(If McCotter even had the ghost of military or foreign policy experience, I'd nominate him in a heartbeat to be Sarah's Veep.)

And then Herman Cain; he'd tear Obama a new one.

He wants to get the economy moving by:

1) reducing the income tax rate to two brackets, 10% and 25%.

2) Lowering the corporate tax rate to 25%.

3) Disallowing income taxes on repatriation of foreign profits by US companies.

4) Allowing a 1-year moratorium on the 6% payroll tax, for both companies, and people, to allow people to pay down their bills.

5) Making the tax CUTS above PERMANENT.

He believes in this country!
