Right Online in Minneapolis has gone well. We had Breitbart speak as well as other conservative speakers. Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, and others will speak tomorrow.
If I see Michelle Bachmann I'm going to tell her to fire Rollins and stop sucking up to Romney.
Cheers!
Don’t forget the NHRA back to the 50’s if you can find time.
Nope....I wasn’t there.
Ann Coulter's new book on mob psychology hits the nutroots right on the tip of their pointy little heads.
Dude.
Then explain this.
I really can’t....I just....don’t remember and....well.....
Update: Muslim protesters are attempting to gain access to the ballroom to disrupt Herman Cain’s speech. They are currently at the time of this posting at the esclators that lead to the ballroom where Cain will speak.
Sounds like things could get interesting.
(Missed yesterday with Breitbart and the Palin documentary The Undefeated though.
The morning sessions had speeches by
Michelle Malkin (even HOTTER in person!)
Guy Benson (Townhall.com)
Jim Hoft (Gateway Pundit who talked about being involved in the blogging of the SEIU / Gladney beating)
S.E. Cupp (no atheist should be that hot. Her books sold out for autographs FIRST)
Ed Morrisey (HotAir.com, from Minnesota)
Erick Erickson (RedState.com)
Congress Tim Huelskamp of Kansas (freshman Tea Party Congressman, who looks like Tim Conway)
Minnesota's own Jason Lewis
Michelle Bachmann (a hottie in her own right!)
There were breakout sessions on:
YouTube & Online Video 101
Using Humor, Effective Online Content
Wiki Accountability
Becoming an Effective Citizen Journalist
Effective Activism At the Local Level
Sick of Spending: Ending Washington's Excess
And another breakout session on:
Citizens Interacting with Congress Online
(Use Twitter or Email; be brief and polite.)
Effective Blogging at the State and Local Level
Facebook: Tools & Strategies
Using Online Video to Effectively Promote Your Work
Youth Outreach, Not all Students Are Liberal
(too crowded to get into)
Cutting Red Tape: Reining In Out-Of-Control Regulators
And another breakout session on :
Amplifying Social Media
A Look Back, A Look Forward: What Works & Where Things Are Moving
Journalism Vs. Blogging: Building Credibility
(This included blogger Robert Stacey McCain of The Other McCain blog, who was involved in spreading the news of Weinergate early on. He told me HE LOVES it when he gets linked on FR, because that results in a LOT of traffic.
He also said that his post last night, that Sarah Palin would decide next week, was based on a vendor who hopes to supply her campaign: that if she decides to run, she'll have to tell the vendors first, and it won't be a secret for long. I thought that was very insightful of him.
So here's a gratuitous link to his site: The Other McCain.
Te Movement is Hip How Young Conservative Activism is Changing the Game
States in Fiscal Crisis: Reforming Collective Bargaining
Then there was a 20-minute talk by Minnesota's own Gov. Pawlenty (T-Paw), who said all the right things financially but who does not come across as a strong leader.
Then there was a final breakout:
Getting Noticed: How to Build Up Your Social Network
(This had tips and tricks on Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit.)
The Future of Political Technology
Detecting and Countering Left-Wing Media Bias.
Healthcare: Obamacare vs. Patient Freedoms
And then the closing session, with:
Virginia Attorney General Kecn Cuccinelli. This guy needs to be the US Attorney General.
He pointed out that Obamacare is essentially a Liberty Issue, not a Health Issue, and pointed at the decision of Judge Roger Vinson as a good synopsis.
The thing is, back in the Revolutionary War days, the Solicitor General of England was meeting with Parliament concerning the colonists' boycott of English goods in response to the Stamp Act and the Intolerable Acts. They asked him, if such a boycott was Treason, and he answered that it walked right up to the line but did not cross it.
He said were facing the opposite direction today: back in Revolutionary War days, the colonists were subjects of a King, yet not even the King had the power to command his subjects what to buy. But the current crop of Democrats thinks they have the right to order us in a way even a KING isn't allowed to!
Congressman Thaddeus McCotter -- a fantastic, inspiring, measured speaker, even without a teleprompter. There's some FReeper who keeps on saying they want McCotter for President. Now I know what they're talking about!
(If McCotter even had the ghost of military or foreign policy experience, I'd nominate him in a heartbeat to be Sarah's Veep.)
And then Herman Cain; he'd tear Obama a new one.
He wants to get the economy moving by:
1) reducing the income tax rate to two brackets, 10% and 25%.
2) Lowering the corporate tax rate to 25%.
3) Disallowing income taxes on repatriation of foreign profits by US companies.
4) Allowing a 1-year moratorium on the 6% payroll tax, for both companies, and people, to allow people to pay down their bills.
5) Making the tax CUTS above PERMANENT.
He believes in this country!
Cheers!
