Rep. Kings amendment failed heres the roll call vote. Every Democrat voted against it but it lost because 78 Republicans also went against stopping over a billion dollars in money being paid out for fraud. Two votes jumped out at me.
Tea Party favorite Allen West (R-FL) voted with the Congressional Black Caucus to keep Pigford funding flowing to fraudsters.
But worse, Darrell Issa (R-CA), who would be the one to get investigations going.

Goodbye, Colonel West.
Our guys have got to study to discern which people and causes deserve their support, and those which do not — and vote accordingly. No excuses. No exceptions.
WHAT?!!?!?!?
I thought West was a conservative.
WHAT!??!?!?
The fact that West, Issa, AND 76 other Republicans voted as they did tells me there is more to the wording of the issue than we are aware.
Perhaps another lockstep Democrat sham. I don’t know, but there has to be a logical reason as West, nor Issa are RINO chumps to be had by political shenanigans of the Left.
Some of the black farmers were discriminated against by the Dept. of Agriculture and lost potential earnings as farmers. They deserved some restitution.
However, Pigford needs a thorough congressional investigation as well. Perhaps Issa and West didn’t want to hurt the real victims but through investigations, can stop payments to the frauds.
If you figure out a good reason for this can you ping me? This is mind blowing.
I seem to recall West came out strong against Pigford...anyone have any clarity on this?

Say its not so................. this could go viral..
Breitbart usually leans toward our side, so I’m not encouraged by what may be yet to come.
Can’t find statements/explanations from West or Issa. This is just so disappointing.
I am disappointed. These people are sick.
I am HOPING that there’s a lot more to this as West is one of my hopes for a future in this country. Everything he’s done so far is rock solid conservative. I’m going to hold fire until I learn more.
God I hope he has a good reason.
I agree. The way bills are written nowadays, it’s basically having a gun held to your head.
I’ve said a before. DC is a different world. It based on backroom deals, “you scratch my back...”, ie. people as capital. West may have ended up a box and had to cut a deal. This the the reality of DC, and us holding to a set ideals will do nothing to change that. We don’t have to compromise all of our ideals, but we need to pick our battles and save our resources for bigger more important battles.
A billion dollars worth of fraud is a big deal to me.
Greetings - let me know if you find out more.
I really, really have liked West - I consider him a courageous hero. And from I’ve read, a real conservative. This vote is extremely disturbing.
It has to change, then. I cannot just accept that "yeah, the government is a pit of scumsucking vipers enriching themselves and their buddies at the taxpayers' expense, a sort of tax funded mafioso, without the far out accents and Italian looks or twisted code of honor". Nope. We need a do-over, not knowing shrugs and "well, that's how they do it in DC - lay back and relax 'cause it's inevitable".
DC has already compromised every single one of my principles a gazillion times. Compromising is the reason we're in a screaming nosedive into the abyss.
