If there's a "social issues" segment of the Tea Party, then why is Santorum polling below Johnson?
Maybe the Tea Party is mostly about reining in government spending, taxing, and regulation.

If you dig around some polls, no one outside of the Pro Life community and PA know who Santorum is. He really has an unbelievable name recognition problem.

Well back in the late 80’s Reid came into the senate thanks to his mormon brethern, am assuming Romney gets many LDS votes as well.

We on FR live in a special bubble. We knew about Palin at least a year before she was selected by McCain.
I wouldn't doubt it if there were more Alaskans who didn't know the name of their governor at that time than Freepers who did!

I was surprised at the 10% romney got also. I figured he would get 1-3% mistake votes.

Top three: Palin, Cain and What’s Her Name Rollins.
I’ll be voting for Sarah Palin, Liberty, our Constitution and American Exceptionalism.

I suspect some sweat shops in several western states have several score people pumping it for him. Also there is a kind of woman of a certain age that just cannot resist following this political Ted Bundy to his car. Sad.

“Whats Her Name Rollins.”
I’m certainly grateful that Sarah is not as thin-skinned as some of her supporters.

The lesson here is that no matter how much the establishment Republican segment of the media tries to ram it down your throat that Romney is the front runner --- DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID.

"If there's a "social issues" segment of the Tea Party, then why is Santorum polling below Johnson?" Santorum's support for Arlen Spector may be a factor. People don't like feeling betrayed.
