Newt Gingrich

oh please...in politics, a day is like a year...minds change, the unexpected happens frequently (McCain getting the nomination in '08 for example) and a lot of those swing voters (and the vast majority of Americans) have never gotten the chance to hear post-McCain Sarah Palin speak for herself in a political forum or setting unfiltered, and they will soon get to do that once she enters the race...not only that, but the MAJORITY of voters who will be determining in the GENERAL ELECTION (versus Obama) do NOT pay attention to the process this early! Swing voters who do not tend to be of any party do not partake in primaries, and will not be making up their mind until well into 2012 when the candidate for either side has been pretty much determined.
regardless:
If there's anything I've learned in my long time of political observation, it's:
THE ONLY POLLS THAT MATTER ARE THE ONES ON VOTING DAYS!
Cain is doing well right now. Bachmann not getting much time to speak. :(
boxers or briefs.
Thaqts the Q for Romney.........
__________
Magic underwear LOL
LOL! I wonder what he’s being told. To shut up, or to keep grunting and stop these candidates from making mincemeat out of their god, Obama and everything he’s done?
Santorum smacks down KING!
CAIN’s smacking down ALL!!!
drink!!
Finally Cain getting some Mic. Bringing up Galveston, the test case for opting out of SS! I half-ass remember that.
GO CAIN
Your afraid. Bachmann is performing well tonight. It’s a shame Palin didn’t participate because I would like very much to see them on stage together so I can objectively evaluate both.
Makes no difference to you though. What a shame.
Cain sounds good and stands out the most. Newt stands out because it sounds lke he’s a little upset.
Maybe newt saw his own poll numbers.
Too bad he's such a nut case.
King sounds like he’s on crack.
Cain giving a great answer on Medicare — as soon as he gets to the point, King practically cuts him off.
Maddening!
If I was up there and was given an either/or question, I’d say “None of your business”. And I’d be serious about it. Stupid stuff!
This whole debate seems so rushed. When one of them answers slowly, I am delighted, and Santorum just gave it to King —saying to let him FINISH! He was nice and said ‘please’. (I wouldn’t be so nice.)
Newt is way to cerebral. Too much of a policy wonk. That’s not what people want in a President.
AMEN!!!!!
Yeah and not doing a very good job of it Tom. IMHO, that finished him with his base.
TPaw says we should 'keep our word' to those in or near the program and agrees with Paul about insolvency will offer a Medicare proposal different than the Ryan plan.
Newt asked about the Ryan plan and his "right-wing social engineering" comment. Says Ryan plan courageous but Newt has other ideas on Medicare.
Santorum asked a stupid question "should Republicans slow down?" He suggests using the Medicare Part D model.
Cain supports the Ryan plan. Cain is asked about specifics on reforming Social Security: cuts, means testing, higher retirement age, etc. Cain wants personal retirement accounts and cites Chile and Galveston as models. Says tinkering wont' do it, need to transition out.
Bingo! They're skewering Obama and he's trying to shut them up.
Mitt - bad mouthing current admin but not saying what he’d do to solve the problem.
