This is a link to a free viewing of a very interesting documentary about a doctor in Texas who seems to have discovered an amazingly effective tool to fight cancer. I am in the middle of watching it, but just watched an undeniable Atlas Shrugged moment that moved me to post it here....
It will only be free to view until midnight tonight.
Thought provoking stuff here, and I will be interested to hear what ya'll think.

It is a long video, (I think it is 1 hour and 48 minutes, still watching here) but so far, worth every minute....
I remember this doctor and he was destroyed years ago. Is he back?
I often wonder what would happen if we found a cure for cancer and that perhaps someone may well have but was not permitted to publish or speak out because what then would the millions of people who work in this area do. We have some great medical and research minds and have poured zillions of dollars into research. There are blocks and blocks of buildings in the medical center complex in Houston for instance that are devoted to cancer treatment and research. Just rather mind boggling.

Amazing! Amazing!
Very interesting.
I don’t know, as I am still watching, but it is SO Atlas Shrugged : |
At the point I am at, the FDA finally agreed to “work” with him, (after failing to strip him of his license OR to put him in jail!!), but only if THEY could change all of his successful protocols! He said if they changed his protocols he told them he would not provide his medicines, and so they told him they would get it somewhere else : o (This is after researchers were sent to his practice to “observe” his procedures...)
Incredible...

It is truly unbelievable.
Yes. That is the underlying thread, that the FDA has been fighting this doctor for over 30 years, in order to keep the economic peace : |
I will try to summarize this next part...
The National Cancer Institute was in charge of the clinical trials. They wanted to change the protocols, and DID so, against the doctors strong objection. The doctor was able to stop the trials, since they were not being administered correctly. The trials showed no effective treatment before they were closed, but they published the incomplete findings anyway, to discredit the doctor.
The good news was that within the findings, was the evidence of the minimal amounts of the doctor’s drug in the patients bloodwork. The bad news was that these patients did not survive. The NCI had insisted on “changing” the protocols, (in reality, lessening the amount of drug necessary), and further there is testimony from a doctor who was on staff at the NCI for 6 years...that the NCI does this to ensure that the new therapy is ineffective....

Oh my gosh.... the United States Government now holds the patent to the doctor’s drug... they named another inventor, and even used Burzynski as a “reference”...
“The invention described herein, may be manufactured, used and licensed by or of the Government, for Governmental purposes”
May God give us strength, to turn these people out.

Thanks!
I’ve believed for years that there is a cure for most cancers, it’s too big of a money maker in research to go public with it, or they think there would be too many people saved and the planet couldn’t support them all.
Thank you for the bump. I just finished watching it. They were never able to put the doctor in jail, or out of business, but the FDA is now using their own protocols and doing trials using “their” drug. They also are still insisting on doing the radiation treatments on the very young children,(which may well kill or cripple the child before they even begin the trial of the new drug), before they begin the next level of trials, which interestingly enough, they are having trouble getting the funding for....

This doctor should have left the US & started manufacturing/using the drug in some sane country that isn’t beholden to the US. Maybe he should give the information to China. Anything to get it out there, if it’s for real.
It was sad, because he is from Poland I believe, and said more than once that he had thought/believed that he would find justice and freedom here...
Clearly not.
You apparently are a very wise person, because the documentary makes an excellent case for your thoughts.
It was incredible to watch how this man was not only doing nothing wrong, but was in fact saving people’s lives, and yet he was hounded for YEARS, by every level of government.
And further, that the government now “owns” his invention, and yet they Still are dragging their feet on getting it out into the market place : o
Truly frightening.
I, too, feel that our government is suppressing any release of a cancer cure. One reason, I think, is that they feel a reduction in our population would be a good thing. And this would fit right in with obamacare - wouldn't want to waste resources on people who can't be cured.
I posted this earlier, I had just begun watching it and at one point, Atlas Shrugged immediately came to mind, and it only intensified from there.
Would you consider pinging the Atlas list? It is a long video, but it was riveting. Watching all of the machinations of the various levels of government as it attempted to control this doctor.
It is available for viewing for free on Vimeo until midnight tonight, but it states that the transcript and all of the documentation is free at the original movie website.
Thanks in advance :)

There are many many people out there willing to fleece cancer patients. Dr. Burzynski isn't a complete quack (he not only treats his patients with his miracle “cure” but he also uses cutting edge chemotherapy). Maybe he even believes his own hype. However, there are HUGE ethical problems with how he operates. You don't here about the many people he has taken for everything they are worth before they died because, well, they aren't around to complain.
If you are a cancer patient you should go look at one of the big research centers like MD Anderson or Duke. Not some guy operating out of a strip mall in Katy, TX. 1. He doesn't tell patients that if he treats them that makes them ineligible for other major medical research studies. He doesn't explain their other options, and by his actions removes these options for them. For instance, there are some very promising cancer vaccines but you can't take them if you have been treated by Dr. Burzynski. Depending on your cancer you will want to get into a phase II study with Avastin (Bevacizumab), XL184, BSI-201, dasatanib, dasatanib/erlotinib combo, tandutinib, vaccine therapy, etc. Dr. Burzynski knowingly removes these options for people.
2. He talks as if all these other cancer researchers want patients to die. “They” want to have to radiate little kids. “They” want them to have to take harmful chemo pills. I know MANY people in the field personally and professionally and they have dedicated their lives to helping people.
3. There are NO randomized studies that show his methods are effective. The patients that he has that recover are *also treated with a standard regimen*. He cherry picks the good cases to report as anecdotal evidence. He has had 30+ years to show success with randomized, research studies. I think the problem is he can't because it doesn't really work better than placebo. He has treated thousands of patients. With glioblastoma some small percentage (50 a year?) are cured. We don't know why or how. But I can make any treatment look good by random chance because of that fact.
4. His “antineoplastons” are distillates of human urine. They are just short protein / amino acid chain. He decided this was the “cure” to cancer 30 years ago and hasn't really changed his approach since then as far as I can tell. Nothing he is doing is a big secret. This conspiracy crap is absurd, there is HUGE money to be made in curing cancer and this research has been public knowledge for 30 years. If it worked we would know about it.
5. His PhD is very questionable... first of all, it really is a “D.Msc” - as far as I can tell is short for “Doctorate of Metaphysics”. I originally assumed it was “Doctorate of Medical Science”, BUT, I have found no one using “D.Msc” for that and people using it for Metaphysics. Maybe he wants us to assume that? I have no idea what school it is from. At any rate, his M.D. was in 1967. His “PhD” is from 1968 - and by his own admission he did no independent research while in Medical School. I know some M.D. / PhDs. They did 6-7 years of research *independently* from their M.D. for their PhD. I think his claiming a PdH is baloney. He claims he is singled out for persecution and that these other doctors are all in bed with the big pharmaceuticals, blah blah blah. Well, maybe if you stopped lying about your education...
6. There are some scary stuff in the published results of his patients. His treatment itself can be harmful. In one study I looked at 1.5% of patients died from elevated levels of blood sodium!?! (They “didn't follow his recommended fluid intake instructions”?)
