FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Santa Monica, Calif. (June 10, 2011) Victory Film Group today announced The Undefeated, which chronicles Sarah Palins rise from obscurity to national prominence, will play exclusively at select AMC Theatres (AMC), a leading theatrical exhibition and entertainment company, starting on July 15th.
The film will launch in markets such as Dallas, Denver, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Atlanta, Orange County, Phoenix, Houston, Indianapolis, and Kansas City. Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM), a full-service theatrical distributor specializing in digital cinema, is managing the theatrical release and ARC Entertainment has taken on worldwide distribution responsibilities for the project.
After screening The Undefeated, we took the unusual step of immediately exploring an expedited theatrical release, something we normally wouldnt do during the busy summer months, said Trevor Drinkwater, CEO, ARC Entertainment.
AMC is committed to providing distinct content to diverse audiences across the United States, said Nikkole Denson-Randolph, VP, Specialty & Alternative Content at AMC Theatres. We are proud to consistently offer a wide variety of product to our guests.
The Undefeated is the ideal candidate for digital theatrical distribution, stated Jonathan Dern, President of Cinedigm Entertainment Group. Given Palins ardent following throughout the country, digital cinema allows us to be extremely precise and efficient in our distribution strategy, bringing this much-anticipated film directly to interested theatre-goers.
In addition to the cities in which the movie is expected to launch, the public also will be encouraged to vote on future theatre locations that may screen The Undefeated. Voting takes place at www.cinedigm.com/theUndefeatedMovie.
Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Stephen K. Bannon and produced by Victory Film Group co-founder Glenn Bracken Evans and Dan Fleuette, The Undefeated was independently financed by Victory Film Group and its partners.
We are thrilled that AMC will give The Undefeated a national theatrical release this summer, says Glenn Bracken Evans. The documentary is made to be seen on a big screen. With its story of a small-town girl who, against all odds, rises to the pinnacles of American government, the film plays with all the drama of a Rocky picture, only with a woman as the central figure and with politics instead of boxing, he adds.
The film includes leading prominent political commentators Mark Levin, Tammy Bruce and Andrew Breitbart as well as conservative activists Kate Obenshein, Sonnie Johnson and Jamie Radtke. Additionally, the film features interviews with Alaskan civil servants, elected officials and advisors who were involved in Alaskan politics during Governor Palins tenure.
We are extremely excited about the initial reception of The Undefeated. We knew we had a great story to tell about a true American hero, said Stephen K. Bannon.
In addition to the AMC theatrical roll out, ARC Entertainment will handle the worldwide distribution. ARCs current slate includes Ironclad, an epic about the signing of the Magna Carta starring Paul Giamatti as King John, and The Ward by John Carpenter (also being released theatrically by Cinedigm). ARC will release a total of 12 films theatrically this year.

I can’t wait to see her lovely figure on the big screen. Mama Grizzly!
No AMC theaters listed in Alabama. Nearest to me is Atlanta.
I believe this movie will ensure that Sarah does not announce on 4th of July as some have hinted. She cannot announce until this movie is out of the movie theater. Maybe she can announce on Veteran’s Day. I am not sure how the DVD schedule will affect her announcement too.
*********Palin Ping**********
I’m relatively certain that it won’t be released in Ct., with this state being such a hive of liberalism. I’m even more certain that if, by some fluke, it WERE to be released here, I’d wind up being annoyed by some creep who bit the bullet and forked over the $ just to shout obscentites at the screen and ruin the experience for the rest of us. I’ll be purchasing the DVD, though!
So buy a ticket and skip the show. We want the numbers up.
I’m going to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 7.2 that day. I’ll be getting an extra ticket for this movie. I just know that if the numbers are high, it will make lib heads explode.
I suspect this means that it will be shown in IA, NH, and SC PRIOR to July 15. Showtime!
Here is the correct link to vote:

They didn’t get it right in the article. It took me a few minutes to track it down....but this is where you vote.
Yes....I believe you are correct! They will show it early in these Primary states to get a feedback and then determine how much to go forward as far as distribution
What a great idea...I’ll do it! Thanks for the suggestion.
Dallas - TX. 34 EV. Went R in 2008, safe R by anyone's estimate.
Denver - CO. 9 EV. Went D in 2008, chance for a pickup.
Oklahoma City - OK. 7 EV. One of the reddest states around.
Orlando - FL. 27 EV. Went D in 2008, considered purple.
Atlanta - GA. 15 EV. R in 2008, safe red.
Orange County - CA. 55 EV. Considered safe blue BUT with the economy there, who knows?
Phoenix - AZ. 10 EV. Safe red although Dems hope they can turn it purple.
Houston - TX. 'Nuff said.
Indianapolis - IN. 11 EV. Went D in 2008 but they won't make that mistake again.
Kansas City - MO. 11 EV. R in 2008, widely considered leaning purple.
Interesting, the only heavy blue state this is playing in from the list above is CA.
Nail the base, pick up 60% of the independents, against a dispirited Dem base.
Cheers!
Hanks. They didn’t get it right in ANY of the articles. I hope this doesn’t diminish the vote.
That was supposed to say THANKS! Doggone keyboard keeps eliminating the first letter of my words.
Pleased to help!
Best part is that I’m in NYC ... so there won’t be any long lines!
"The Undefeated" is being screened for D.C. reporters all day, with the film's director Steve Bannon on hand to answer questions.
After the screening I saw, Bannon revealed that the movie would start to arrive in theaters on July 15, in a limited release in a couple of states. (Andy Barr says the states include, funny enough, Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.) The movie now has a distributor, Cinedyne, and its ad campaign will start up next week.
"Every day next week, there'll be another announcement," said Bannon.
-- snip --
...Palin herself won't be involved in the promotion of the film.
Bannon didn't want to involve her in the production in any way; he just showed the completed film to Todd and Sarah, and was pleased when they were "blown away." Palin's voice does appear in the film as clips from the Going Rogue audiobook, which Bannon licensed...
-- snip --
...The movie cost $1 million to make, and Bannon was perfectly confident that it would succeed. Ideally it would break big with a mass audience, but even if it didn't, there was a built-in crowd.
"There's enough Palinistas out there, although I certainly didn't make this for the Palinistas," he said. "They know this stuff anyway.
I made it for a middle class audience that doesn't really know anything about her, doesn't know what she's really accomplished..."
-- snip --
...I'll have a full review of the movie tomorrow; for now, I can say that Bannon went into detail about a release strategy that made much more sense than the release of Atlas Shrugged, before anyone goes and makes that comparison.
"It's very unusual for a documentary, unless it's a Michael Moore documentary, to get into a theater, to have a major theatrical release," he said. "People aren't used to seeing a documentary that's two hours long and about a political figure. Not in summer.
The SVOD, VOD, pay-per-view guys, say this is a perfect product for us -- this is something families can order and sit around and watch."
You'll gets it, don't sweats it.
:^)
The movie's website is now live:THANK YOU, Al B.
