Rudy's Running (To take out Romney?)
Weakless Standard ^ | Wednesday June 8, 2011 | Bill Kristol

Posted on 06/08/2011 5:01:12 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

I'm told by two reliable sources that Rudy Giuliani intends to run for the GOP nomination for president in 2012. He may throw his hat in the ring soon.

Rudy's theory of the race: In the fall of 2007, he decided he couldn't compete with both Mitt Romney and John McCain in New Hampshire, and disastrously decided to try to pull back there and pitch his tent in Florida. This year, he'll commit everything to New Hampshire, where he thinks he has a good shot at beating Romney—whom he criticized there earlier this week. He then thinks he can beat whichever more socially conservative candidate(s) is left by winning what are still likely to be winner-take-all primaries in big states like California, New York, and New Jersey.

Rudy's message: I'm tough enough to put our fiscal house in order and to protect us from enemies abroad. The U.S. in 2012 is in bad shape—like New York in 1993.

I believe that Rudy may be a stalking horse, it may sound strange but his comments over the past few months seem to be that he despises Romney and really respect......ahem* Palin. Who knows!

Those winner-take-all primaries remain Damoclean swords over the heads of conservative candidates.

Rudy will play the “Huckster” role on the RINO side in 2012 to take out Romney.

Rudy has said repeatedly that he would only get in if Sarah does....Rudy has defended Palin repeatedly, even in front of the ‘View ladies’ very passionately....hmmmm!

Seems I remember that Rudy said if Palin jumps in he will get in to take her out. He is not a fan.

If Rudy takes out Romney: Me and Rudy, Macy's Window, Noon, Friday after Thanksgiving.

Did you catch Romney's ringing endorsement of Global Warming? I hope Rudy doesn't believe in crap science, too! Both of them are too Left for the finals, IMHBOWO. But if Rudy ain't gonna be the quarterback, the least he can do is throw a block! Like to see him in Janet's job.

This lisping, effeminate leftist should keep in mind that being a politician from New York is no longer an asset -- in fact, it's a huge liability. There was a window of time back in 2001-2003 when Giuliani would have been a credible "war on terror" (whatever the hell that means) candidate, but not anymore.

Giuliani is not a serious candidate for a nation whose single biggest issue is that it is financially and morally bankrupt.

So now FR is a Rooty site. You folks are nuts with your stalking horse crap. Just last week, Trump was.
Get a life.

Palin hasn’t even entered the race.

Romney's working real hard to take himself out.

Rudy had a pretty lousy showing last time to be stepping up to submarine Sarah...just sayin'.

I like Rudy.

So do I, but I wonder if his time has passed. Maybe not, who knows? I don't think he's any "stalking horse", though. He's got just as big an ego as any of the other candidates and he thinks he can win.
