Erections have consequences (Weinergate)
NY Post ^ | 6/7/11 | NY Post Editorial Board

Let us declare with certitude the obvious: Rep. Anthony Weiner has disgraced his office, and himself, and he needs to quit.

Never mind that he went before the TV cameras yesterday, cried on cue and assumed "responsibility" for a litany of offenses to common decency -- including sending lewd messages and revealing photos to young women on Twitter, and then lying about it.

Repeatedly and egregiously.

Because there is a difference between taking rhetorical responsibility for what one has done, and accepting the full consequences of those actions -- which in Weiner's case would require his resignation.

“he needs to quit”

Noooo!!! This is fun.

It’s dem media that’s pushing him to quit, because he’s a liability. Ya think the dem media suddenly got a sense of morality????

Let’s at least get another week out of it.

There are a LOT of people out there, and more all the time, who are positively addicted to SMUT!

They are SO addicted and have been for SO long, that sooner or later they forget themselves and all common sense.

It is bad enough that the guy next door or your co-worker or someone you know personally has abandoned himself/herself to this filthy lure, but coming from public officials it is really too much.

This thought should be tattooed on every demonRATs forehead. Actions have consequences.

It was posted yesterday and we allow repeats as a general rule unless they are posted one right after another.

It is a good idea to post a link to a previous thread that is the same article so more comments can be seen.

But it isn’t necessary to ping Admin Mod for a duplicate posted so long after the original.

I saw Bob Beckel on Hannity and he said as much that Weiner has knocked the Dems off message and he needs to retire but all Weiner knows is Politics.

He said while at Fox that he and John Fund said that New York was losing 2 Congressional Districts and one should be Weiners.

On top of everything else this guy is a loud, obnoxious, insufferable, lying, self-promoting j@ck@ss.

He is an insult to Americans, Jews, New Yorkers, men, and all of humanity. He is a stereotypical democrat.

He views his position in Wash. as a birthright because he believes he is smarter than you and tougher than you. He will say anything, do anything or anybody to keep his place at the trough.

He is a walking advertisement for term limits and should be the Tea Party's new poster boy for the excesses of gov. power.

The man is a turd. He's a fart at a funeral. He's the hair ball that plugs up the bathroom plumbing.

He is the living, breathing personification of modern art.

I'm just saying.........

Where are all those Edwards loving Iowegians who turned out for (and gave money to) this jerk ?

The Des Moines Register editorialized that his fall from greatness was a “disappointment.” I guess there really are “two Americas;” those who can see BS for what it is and those who cannot.

If he quits, they will just have a “special” election and reelect him.

New York will be losing a congressional seat in 2012 due to reapportionment. If Weiner doesn’t resign, perhaps the NY legislature could eliminate his seat.

The only problem with that is the fact that most of the population loss has been upstate. Weiner’s district has actually gained population, so we are out of luck.
